Go out fast and blow up?
This guy is just a variation on the Parker Stinson theme: being immature and blowing his wad in training before arriving to a major race and running way too aggressively, dooming his slim chances.
Modesto
Imagine how good he would be if he trained smart

It always amazes me when people look at someone who is more successful at running than themselves and presume to know more about running than the successful person.
Nice to see him repping the Central Valley well.
Hi CJ, congrats on this epic run, thanks for sharing, very nice.
Why is he listed as a DQ in the official results?
I'm more impressed that he found a route that was downhill for 18.5 miles
Come on, this was much more flat than downhill, elevation gain over the entire marathon was 656 ft. It was a solid run. Hope he recovers fully before Boston. Fun to watch.
Hope to see a phenomenal run in Boston
CJ is a fun follow on Strava! Nice to have a fully transparent pro with a tangible personality. Really pulling for him in Boston
