You could have posted this before the race even started. Obviously Lia Thomas was going to win. Male chromosomes and testes are a powerful combination when competing against female chromosomes and ovaries.
I say good because this brings more attention to it. Hopefully with the new rules to go in place next year this will be the first and last time a guy wins.
What are the Olympic rules as of today? In other words, if the Olympics happened right now, would Lia Thomas actually be able to compete in the Olympics?
I don't think so. Lia wouldn't have been able to compete in NCAA's this year if the NCAA didn't delay enforcement of the new rules, which are based on IOC, until next year.
It's even more impressive when you look at the field.
2nd place: Emma Weyant, Tokyo silver medalist in 400m medley
3rd place: Erica Sullivan, Tokyo silver medalist in 1500m free
All signs point to Lia being a gold medalist talent!

Thomas is ineligible under the USA Swimming's new rule. She cannot swim in the Olympic or World Championships trial.

So does that mean that this is Lia Thomas's last meet?

BS. No amount of testosterone reduction can offset the biological advantages. This is a complete farce predicated on the notion that one person's self-centeredness gets to override everything else.
