7:59.02 converts to 7:53.49, I believe, more the flat to banked track conversion of .9885. Then it converts down further to around 7:41.5 for the NCAA altitude conversion for Bozeman (4926 ft), which is 13 seconds for the 9+ minute steeplers they list for the 2009 standards, which I assume means that it is about 12 seconds for an 8 minute 3k. Whatever it is precisely, that is one of the best 3k performances in NCAA history.
Drew Bosley also ran quite well. His 14:05 5000m was a championship record by 6 seconds and is worth approximately 13:41 for the altitude and another ten seconds for flat to banked track, or 13:31 way ahead of second place.
