She looked SO relaxed the entire time until the last 100m when she was clearly going to try to dip under the nationals qualifier.
Hayes looked like she was gassed with 4 laps to go(granted they’d dropped from 16:12 to 15:50 pace) and Tuohy looked like she was just going for a run.
Super excited for her in the next couple of years. Also love that in her interview she said she was pumped for state going 1,2,4 when asked how she felt about winning the race.

9:38 thru 3,000, 6:03 for last 2,000...66 s last 400 - this is the new Tuohy. She must have had something though as she said she wasn't sure she was going to run in this meet.

she always been very humble and team-oriented athlete
No reason to. She already has a qualifying time. So much in this age group on the women's side is a matter of just avoiding injury and being able to train consistently.

Do they take 16? She might squeeze in (16th is 15:42.7), but Logue and Kimeli are lurking at 15:43 and 15:46. Since she can't run the DMR maybe she does try the 5 and 3?
Yes, she will run it and win it... an acc double is a great accomplishment, and the race will probably be slow anyway. So she can work on her Kik. Then just focus on the 3K at Nationals. Try to make top five. Anyway it'll be a good competition against Kelsey. maybe she can out kick her in a shorter race. Didn't seem like she ran that hard except for the last two laps so, might as well go for it

Ryan of FL St who would be the favorite has the mile final early tomorrow. I would say watch for Blachowitz of ND but based on how Denner ran today they may be taking a pass on this meet, like they did in ACC XC. Denner got 5th in 5000 at 16:17 today (having run 15:26 at BU)
It's on the ESPN app, with a bunch of other conference championships
You can get it for free if you have ESPN as part of your cable, or I think you can just pay for it separate
Anyway Touhy basically LED for the first half, then Hayes took over for 3 minutes, and then tuohy took off for the last 500m and ran like a 66 400 to close
