Literally why did Yared go out in 54 high when they were already winning? This makes no sense to me. What is coach thinking?

I don't know but he paid for it on last turn, hope he didn't hurt himself.
No kidding. I thought that was a great move on carlson's part. If yared would've gone out a little harder they wouldn't have jeopardized their entire season.
Was that Butler on VTech women's anchor? 4:29 is flying.
Can someone explain what happened here? Notre Dame lost to Virginia Tech and Nuguse only split 4:00 on the anchor?

Techs twitter shows a video their anchor kicking past him after he looked like he tripped on the rail and fell

Also unclear if he would have won even if he had not fallen.
It looks like he had about a 5 yard lead with less than 100 to go and tripped on a moonbeam.
Yared didnt look good. He got the baton in a close second, went out in 54 and tripped and fell with 75 to go. A VA tech guy was close to passing him right before he fell anyways though.

He stepped on the rail and went down. I thought he was going to hang on but we'll never know.

Had he finished, there were rumors that he might have to show up to the championships.
