Exciting stuff, well see how he matches against the true milers in the field. Hocker is still entered in both.

He is a true miler
If he wins I'd say he definitely is, but I cant say he's a true miler until he wins a title in 1500/mile.
Teare will shock the world with a win and a 3:29
I hope so. The hype would’ve be unreal!
*would be unreal
You can say it but you choose not to. And you are ridiculous not to say that the fastest miler in the history of the NCAA is not a miler.
Mo Farah ran 3:28, he is not a miler. Rupp ran 3:50, he is not a miler.
Read this fact. Teare is the fastest NCAA miler in history. You can't dispute the fact which means that he is a miler. He is the absolute fastest miler. Facts.

Is Yomif Kejelcha a miler?
This is more exciting. I would rather see him focus entirely on the 1500m right now.
I can tell you how it works out. 3:33 in a super fast race, top 6 nonetheless, getting pipped by Hoare, Kerr and Beamish in the process.
Before Teare it was Edward Cheserek. Neither are true milers.

Face palm.
Time will tell.
But his great progression on 5k : 13:32 > 13:17 > 13:12 makes me believe he has huge 5k potential.
Don't forget that at the Olympic trial he was beat only by guys who were at least very close to their career peak, with one of them who went on winning the bronze medal, an other who went on to run 12:53 like 6 months after, and an hungry 28 yo Kincaid.
Teare 3:50.
Fisher 12:53.
Teare is a miler while Fisher is a 5k guy. Too many people here want them to swap for their inferior events. That's what you guys aren't their coaches.

To put things in comparison you also need to look at their age.
Grant Fisher 5K PB at age 21 : 13:32 . At age 22, his PB was : 13:29.
Cooper Teare 5K PB at age 21 : 13:12. He is currently at age 22.
True miler is implying he's a mile specialist, regardless of speed. Running only the 5,000 at trials is not something a true miler would usually do. Time will tell though.
is the 1500 a mile tho
Sometimes it seems like Cooper Teare is not that good BUT…
