Let's say someone did dope her or even that she knowingly doped. What I want to know is would the med be helping her now (assuming she's off). She tested positive on December 25.
My buddy said my question is irrelevant as you take drugs so you can train better which down the road helps you perform better. I see his point but I think of figure skating as being more technical.

You seem to really want to excuse a blatant cheater. Strange from a site that lets just about everything go in the name of clean sports.
Do you really not see how a medication that improves recovery and aerobic conditioning would help in a sport like figure skating? Just think about the energy systems that would be utilized to perform a 4 minute routine. Then consider the number of hours per day that these train.
It allows the athlete to do more run throughs of their program in training and also gain better fitness which translates into being able to complete more jumps in their program especially the free skate without fatiguing.

Small potatoes compared to what Salazar was doing. How many Salazar athletes got banned along with him? None.
The reddit guy is biasing his claims by making any use of trimetazidine worth of a long-term ban which is not the case. Chinese swimmer and Olympic gold medalist Sun Yang got a three-month ban in 2014 for trimetazidine which he had a prescription for. He didn't lose his two gold medals from 2012 and he won another gold in 2016. Some ban.

What? Are you referring to the Reddit thread I posted? That’s not at all the general consensus of the thread.
Then why fail to mention the three-month mini-ban that resulted in zero Olympic medals lost. That is not part of your reddit link. They all commenting is must be like meldonium which is a long-term ban drug. Just based on the length of bans trimetazidine is weak sauce compared to other substances.

Okay, so you must read everything with the intention of trying to find the most cyclical view possible and then argue with people lol. The world isn’t out to get you or prove you wrong.
I made no stance- I merely posted a Reddit link with over 150 replies-including physicians and former gymnasts. I found it interesting and relevant to Rojos questions. Yes, Some referenced meldonium while others just discussed physiologically. Some posters pointed out there are no studies on athletes and that it doesn’t seem likely there’s a benefit much more than the benefit of beta-alanine or citrulline. Other posters gave some insight on the Russian coach, how they dominate figure stating, and reasons why young girls and their families choose to train with the coach-despite how demanding it is. Other posters discussed how it’s used as medication in their respective countries.
Okay, you one of those trolls who uses spans to make the text larger. font-size:16px? Why not 24px or 36px? How about bold and striking red color? Get yourself more attention!
NOTE TO WEJO: Please consider preventing posters from playing games with the span element [nonsense] .

Sooo, ignore my whole post that I was never arguing against you to begin with and instead call me a troll playing games for unintentionally making a formatting error from my phone (I don’t know how I did this or what “spans” are). Lol, I honestly don’t know if you’re being serious or not. Like are you really this grumpy and combative against people that have nothing against you? Or are you just messing with me. I’ll just assume the latter and go to bed.
Of course it's still helping. Maybe not as much as if it were still being used but if something is performance enhancing some of the benefits will continue to remain.
And the even bigger issue, if you test positive for some obscure prescription drug, it's highly likely that's just the tip of the iceberg. The first and only thing they went to isn't some drug we've never heard of (and I'm being serious when I say that I've never heard of that).

There is no LRC formatting option for enlarging text (screaming). That has to be manually type in.
I stand by my comment. That reddit thread fails to address that trimetazidine is a low level ban. You chose to attack my comment; "you must read everything with the intention of trying to find the most cyclical view possible and then argue with people lol..." That is trolling.
My link tells what WADA allowed as a ban (3 months). I take that over all of your reddit doctors and reddit gymnasts crying for a meldonium style ban. Trimetazidine is not like meldonium. It is ban weak sauce. Meldonium is ban hot sauce.
