Transgender women in supports isn't fair, but she seems to admire power of the humble burrito "[H]umbling to have my name listed among such talented women as Shelby Houlihan and Joy Ripslinger. I believe this is a prime example of some of my most core beliefs: that if you work hard and put your faith in the Lord, He can, and will, accomplish things within you that you could never even dream of on your own."

She is commenting about the 2 top performing Iowa High school girls that came before her. It wouldn't be any different than if Houlihan became a bank robber after high school. That doesn't impact her level of talent in high school.
Very well written
Good for her, wishing her all the best at Arkansas. It shouldn't be, but in today's backwards culture, it takes some guts to say what we all know to be true
Common sense.
Awesome. And good for her.
Most people know letting trans athletes compete against girls is absurd.
People are just too afraid to come out and say for fear of what they could be labeled by two people….like most other issues nowadays.
Curious question: Why do there seem to be more elite/high performing soccer/track dual sport female athletes than soccer/track dual sport male athletes, particularly at the college level?
Also, why does it seem that the 800m is the prime event for the soccer/track dual sport female athlete?
This leads to another question: There have been high profile incidences of transgender woman running and swimming athletes, and to a lesser extent tennis; but are there incidences of transgender woman competing in ball and other team sports?
Basketball and volleyball woukd seem to be the ones where the extra height would be the biggest retained benefit. A man can easily be 6'10". That doesn't go away after transitioning.

There is less participation in sports among females than males, so the sports aren't as optimized, leading to opportunities for dual sport athletes.

Bravo! The sport need a lot more of this from the female athletes themselves.
Whether I agree with her stance or not I have fought her being brave enough to put her opinion out there. This is much better than the cowards that swim at Penn who write anonymous letters and won't put their name to their own thoughts. Anyone who sits back and makes no comments or, even worse, makes an anonymous comment deserves to be beaten in events by biological men.
From the article:
Sydney McLaughlin won gold in the 400-meter hurdles at the Tokyo Olympic gold medalist and set the world record, 51.46. In the men’s Olympic preliminaries of the 400-meter hurdles, 34 of the 36 men ran faster than McLaughlin’s world-record time. Eight high school boys in 2021 ran times faster than McLaughlin’s record. Yes, you read that right. High schoolers, besting the greatest female 400-meter hurdler to ever step foot on the track.
One other thing to consider is that men run hurdles that are 6" taller (36" versus 30"). If men ran 30" hurdles the number of men running faster would be much greater.

The female swimmers at Penn are worried about getting kicked off the team because they were specifically told that they weren't allowed to talk to reporters. That's why they are asking the reporters to keep them anonymous.
The girl in this article isn't worried about getting kicked off her high school track team. Big difference.

All she wrote was that guys are better athletes which is not a secret and is not controversial or enlightening at all. Vickie Huber did the same thing and I’m not aware of her receiving any backlash from it.

She could be putting her scholarships and roster spots on the line, but she is committed to Arkansas and there is less chance of repercussions from that institution than other, shall we say, coastal schools. She might not be so vocal is she was going to a place such as Georgetown, which is accepting of soccer/track dual athletes but not so much of views counter to the leftist narrative.
Why are leftists against a fair playing field for women?

IDK, but that's one reason there is a lot of discussion about this issue. I suppose the answer starts with how you define "women", and whether being a woman is more than just feeling like a woman (and vice versa a man).
Sports have never been about biological fairness. If they were, we would have different divisions for people with longer legs, different heights, broader builds, etc.
There is also a misconception that’s trans women are transitioning for the sole purpose of winning titles in women's sports. This simply does not happen.
There are not enough trans athletes to create a trans sports league, and this gets at the “separate but equal” argument the Supreme Court has already decided upon. Separate is inherently unequal.
Hubbard, the trans New Zealand weightlifter did not even win a medal at the Tokyo Olympics.
This is analogous to the supershoe debate or why there the concentration of world-class distance runners is in very specific parts of East Africa.
If you are getting beat by a trans athlete, your mindset should be working harder to beat them, not complaining that they are trans. If someone beats you with vaporflys on and you have regualr trainers, put yourself in a situation where the shoes don't matter. I've been on the same team as kids who were born in Kenya and immigrated to the US. Whenever they beat me I wasn't worried about how they were born at altitude and had lower body fat and all these factors that may or may not predispose them to being a better runner, they were just another runner that I wanted to beat.
I also don't want to get into a plank in the eye kind of debate, but the way this athlete speaks about how she works hard and puts her faith in God makes it seems like trans athletes are incapable of doing the same, which I think is a bit silly.

I’m a lefty but no way I support trans people competing in girls/women’s sports.
But I’m fine with trans people competing against men or open division.
I think the majority of people support protection for girls and women’s sports.
I support trans rights but not the right for transgender people to compete against girls and women.
Eg. I call them whatever they wish to be called and I don’t care which bathroom they use…
As we all know, it only impacts a small subset of trans people- transwomen…
