Josh will not break 4:05 at Milrose. I actually will be surprised if he shows up. If he loses 25lbs. he will still be out of shape.

haha
I was hoping this would be a thread mocking his obesity.
hopefully this is a joke or at least exaggeration

Didn’t he run a 2:20 1k in Mid December in trainers? Pretty certain he’ll be fine
Hope this isn't true, or he's like Ricky Hatton the boxer. That guy was famous for gaining 20-30 pounds between fights. They called him Ricky Fatton. Anyway, glad we can freely talk about male runners and their weight without mods descending into vein-popping fits of apoplexy and swinging the ban hammer like Braveheart.
If Josh "Roberto Duran" Kerr keeps allowing himself to get fat, it will age him. Even peak Josh Kerr thus far has been pudgy, 11% plus body fat. Does he want the Olympic Bronze to be it? Olympic Bronze, 1500m is an honor. If he wants more, J. Kerr needs to stop eating cakes and pies and he needs to put down the beers.
Bet this thread makes him giggle. Hi Josh! : )
Congrats on the bronze!
Prepare to be disappointed if you think he will run that slow.

This thread is silly. Same critique when ya'll do it to women on here. He just ran a solid 1k TT. I would be shocked if he doesn't win Millrose. Seems like the class of that field.
Every season Kerr gets called fat/chubby/overweight. Even mid-season. And then he always shows up and delivers, without even being very present on social media. he keeps his head down and consistently delivers but some folks tear him down, even when they tear other athletes down for being all bark and no bite (and prefer athletes to be more like a Kerr)
im sure few of you would've called his OLY medal. he's done his Dec' TT, I'm sure he'll be ready.
This post was removed.
It's called the off-season. For most people it isn't healthy to hold at optimal competition body weight year round. When I was in my 20s I could easily cut 10 pounds in a month just from increased activity.
Did he grow a mustache to fix that ridiculous beard he has?

It’s mean to call little girls fat, they are more sensitive than boys.
He will be back to his beastly appearance and performance when it counts. 😉
always thought he looks a bit stocky for a runner when i see photos

Nope, in this case of your meaning of 'sensitive', boys are more sensitive than women.
josh kerr is still top 1 cutest milers in US
Lol Danny Mackey posted a story of him TODAY and he is not overweight. Absolutely does not have 25 to lose.
Over Christmas, just about everybody's 10 pounds over their race weight. He'll easily lose that quick when he gets back to dieting and hard training and he may still not be exactly at his ideal race weight when milrose comes but that's not what he's trying to peak for so it wouldn't make a ton of sense to do it that way anyways. I think he wins it somewhat handily with hocker on his heels. People who call him fat are probably those little 115 pound lightweight twigs who cant bench a hundred and aren't used to the sheer power of a 160+ pound absolute unit flying at 3:45 mile speed
