Yes, yes, I know it's not the super sheo technology we are talking about but the principle applies. When people say, "Oh everyone has a supershoe now, I say, "Not everyon ehas a good one as Nike will sue them if they are copied."

This is interesting as I've been researching it for the front page. In 2020, Adidas tied to argue that the technology was unpatentable.
Very old news that stretches back to London 2012, long before the supershoes. Nike tried to stop adidas from selling primeknit shoes in Germany back then (because that's the only place they were being made and sold), before their patent was deemed invalid. I'm surprised this hasn't reached a resolution yet.
This has nothing to do with supershoes. This is about flyknit, which doesnt improve performance and in the grand scheme of things ended up as a useless fad like the Nike Free line of products.
The verdict in this case is massive, if Nike's claim is upheld it will trickle down to every single brand that has used a knit material since 2012 with tons of restitution due to be paid by every brand to Nike. This goes far beyond just adidas, and will set the tone for what types of materials will be patentable. Every shoe company is watching this case very closely.
This is all around very bad news boys.
can't get past the terrible grammar, which admittedly grabbed my attention more than the headline content itself ......"only WE"
What a bunch of sniveling twaddle from this group. THE “principle” whatever the hell that is, does not apply. This has nothing to do with Nike’s role in track, or even it’s “super shoes,” which by and large do not use flyknit weave. This is a patent case based on rights issued by the USPTO, not conjured up by some Beaverton Voldemort. You can bet your ass that Adidas has patents of its own on whatever it thinks is patentable. It will surely challenge the validity of Nike’s patents. If the International Trade Commission finds the patents enforceable and that Adidas infringes them, what will this group say next - that Nike bought off the ITC.
FAKE NEWS! This was all about the stupid, useless flynit, not the super shoe technology. You are merely speculating.
