Yeah, I said it.
Yeah, I said it.
I won't argue.

You are wise.
Their previous singer was better and Johnson just has a screechy voice. Now that he's like 70 he doesn't even do that effectively.
AC/DC has been their own tribute band ever since Bon Scott died. Quick, name a song they released after "Back in Black" - which is over 40 years old. Johnson is meh.

Most of AC/DC's best songs were with the late Bon Scott at lead vocal.
Johnson is raspier than Scott was and lacks the overall quality that Scott had.
I think Michael Anthony is the most underrated singer in rock

1) Debatable about the songs. More commercial success with Brian Johnson.
2) Disagree that Scott was better. Again though, even IF I believed Scott was better (I don't), that still would have nothing to do with my ONLY point which is that Brian Johnson is the most underrated rock singer.

1) Johnson was there with Back in Black, so not sure why that's your milestone.
2) I can name several songs since then...Thunderstruck, Who Made Who, For Those About to Rock, Money Talks.
3) Makes no difference anyway, because I didn't say AC/DC has been tearing it up since Back in Black. I didn't even say ANYTHING about the band...just Brian Johnson. He's the most underrated singer in rock. The very first song he wrote for them was You Shook Me All Night Long...a classic, and his vocals are nuts on that song.

Nice sentence.
As a life-long AC/DC fan...would not argue this at all. Saw them in concert a few years back, and he is still belting it out!! Is he as good as when in his prime...of course not - who is??? But he was awesome!!
As was Angus with that friggin head-bob...have no idea how he can do that constantly!
This may qualify as one of the the dumbest posts ever on Letsrun....
Back in Black was Johnson's first album...which was a tribute to Bon Scott...of which Johnson wrote much of it.
Pretty sure the hits and album sales have been stellar ever since!!
Do many of there songs have similar riffs/sounds - yup, and they fully admit it...but then again, tell me one superstar band that doesn't have a signature sound...

2) I'm not considering his singing ability TODAY. Yes, he is past his prime.
3) Again, he is the most underrated singer in rock.
"Is" is present tense. If you are claiming that he is (not was, but is) the most underrated singer in rock, this claim necessarily considers his singing ability TODAY.
