80 mile weeks and still can’t break 3 on the fastest course in the US? Damn bubba.
If he cut his hair he might have ran 2:59.

You seem pretty upset about this. Maybe you can ask sham to knob you off
You spelled devastated wrong dude.
In any case, despite what people on here say, 3 hours is a very good time and most runners will never touch it. I believe Ko could do it with some training tweaks, but it’s a very tough goal for runners of average talent (not to mention in his case being well over 40? Not sure his exact age). Anyway I appreciate what he does, dude never claimed to be a speedster.
Never understand this type of contempt on LR. I’m pretty sure he could run sub-3 if that’s what he really wanted. He’s a YouTube vlogger and does what works well for him.
The 3+ audience that can relate to him is much larger than the sub-3 audience.
Kofuzi will keep making money today, tomorrow and into the future. The sub elite and most of the elite in the top 10 of non-major marathons will fade away and never be heard from again. And they will have to find a job doing something else. Selling shoes at Fleet Feet???
I am pretty sure that is the big part of the bitterness.

You're right on point. I posted on the other kofuzi thread that people here can't stand that these vloggers have figured out a way to make themselves consumable to the average runner. The elites and sub-elites have always struggled in this area. It seems pretty reasonable to me that someone making videos of struggling to reach a time goal that might be attainable to most people is more appealing than videos of people trying to attain times that the average person will never dream of because of genetics.
And at the end of the day, unless you are challenging to podium at the major marathons...youre just a hobby jogger as well. Kofuzi running 3:02 isn't as fast as someone else running a 2:20, but it doesn't matter as both times are lightyears away from being close to elite level.
He would've definitely gotten it done today if he didn't carry that oddamn GoPro with him on every race. He wouldn't loose a single follower if didn't film himself during a marathon.
Hey Michael, it's a race you idiot!! Put the film gear down for a second!!
Someone is jealous that they can't make 80k a year from YouTube ads while doing something that they love.

Clearly his 'job' is taking precedence over his love for running. There is no way I would put all the time and effort into to training and then compromise my Marathon (and all previous workouts) by running with a selfie stick.
But I'm sure to a narcissist like Kofuzi it would be all worth it to have a someone recognise him and wave to the camera.
Three hours is pathetic. But the Run
Like Heller chick “ran” a 4:53 . That’s walking it in. In carbon plated shoes 👟 no less.
Seriously Lets Run dudes. I get it when people that are over the top, and underperform are blasted a bit (um Pappas anyone?) or more recently Seth Demoor who has gone a bit off the rails. But come on?? Kofuzi? Must be like the nicest and non-pretentious ones of the youtubers. Like he seems just genuinely nice, isn't boastful or bragging etc.
Like sure maybe you don't like his videos then move on.
I am just picturing the OP refreshing the CIM live runner tracking of someone he doesn’t even know, jogging to the computer to post this, and looking longingly to his high school XC picture in the dustbins of his mom’s basement and thinking “yeah, I could’ve beaten him back in my prime.”
Kofuzi= Making a living, getting free running shoes and gear, getting flown all over the country and free perks doing the sport he loves.
LRC posters= making no money bashing on the internet calling everyone else hobby joggers.
I think if I squint hard enough, I can see a winner.
It took me a while to find it, but it appears that Kofuzi’s “PR” is a 3:01:52 from one of those major downhill marathons, so I would guess Kofuzi is not entirely displeased with today’s result as it is his best legit marathon.
I think he may have overdone the vlog marketing this week with his “NON ELITE Mini Tour” in Austin and Sacramento and his choice to not wear Nike Vapor Flys.
I cannot fathom what kind of wanker would come on here to bash Kofuzi of all people. Genuinely seems like one of life’s good guys. SJD fine, whatever, but Kofuzi?
Considering his 10k is 39 minutes despite running big mileage I'd say a 3:02 is quite impressive. Poor speed but a lot of endurance.
I agree. I don’t doubt he can get there. He’s not the fastest guy in the world (and he never claims anything close to that), buts he a friendly, relatable, and genuinely likable guy.
Why was she that slow
OP is surely SJD, jealous that Kofuzi has a more interesting following. SJD goes home devastated by the fact that LR folks seem to be OK with Kofuzi because he’s real.
3:02 for a masters hobby jogger is a good time. Sue me. He's just barely faster and more knowledgeable e doable than his followers who are still cranking out 4:00 marathons. Good for him for monetizing mediocrity and not needing a 9 to 5 gig. He's honestly living the dream for a hobby jogger. Haters go home devastated as he goes home with bank.
