OP didn't make any claim that would need to be backed up. OP only suggested that runners who have had more training to age 23-24 would be better than younger runners, and that's true. No one would even debate that. If it wasn't true than why don't you see more pro runners between age 18 and 22?

Why would you make such a weak claim that needs the phrase "about 18 years old" in it?
