With conference completed, and the Carls victorious, the MIAC turns its attention to the most important race of the year, the battle of the Northfield Bub squads, aka the Karhu shoe race! The Oles have won the last 12 runnings of this race, and with their strong depth, there's little reason to believe that will change this year. However, the Carls are known for entering some surprising names into the race, which may make things more interesting. As for individual contenders, the oles have several runners expected to race who have ran well under 27 minutes this season, so some quick times may be in store, especially with the meet being hosted by the Carls this year. Here are some potential names to watch at the meet, plus their season PR's, more (or fewer) contenders might become evident once regional squads are known with more certainty.

Elijah Jones, 26:14 at Lewis and Clark
