Or is this just a place for us HJers to talk among ourselves and maybe a few decent coaches and former competitive runners being drowned out by the morans.
How many 13 flat type guys do we have on here? Any 2:0X marathoners? Genuinely curious

Where were you the day Deena Kastor answered questions for a whole day?
Nick Willis is probably the best "regular" poster. I bet if someone told Kiprop about LetsRun he'd start posting though, he loves that stuff.

I think the "the 430 miler" poster ran a 4:30 mile. That's pretty good

You do know that 2007 was almost 15 years ago, and that list was largely compiled in the early 2000s (pre 2005). Back in those days we'd see Jim Spivey, Ruth Wysocki, Benji Durden, JD and many others post under their real name or as a recognizable contributor. You don't see that very often anymore.

Truth.
There are fewer elite (former and current) posters these days - and those that do post tend to do so with unregistered or obfuscated usernames.
Not the least reason being doxxing and cancel culture - having an (attributable) opinion, even in the distant past, can get you roasted and fired.
It was said Stephanie Garcia 4 years five months ago posted on this site. Posters were attempting a significant doxxing effort. S. Garcia said in an interview she was a Democrat 4 1/2 years ago so the right wing nuts were on a doxxing mission.
Well based on the interviews at the olympic trials, many elites read the message boards and probably post under random handles to conceal their identity. This is the premier place to talk running and many non running threads are interesting gossip. Most runners don't want to talk and read running 24/7 but the array of topics here provides that relief.
There are rumors that brien evans was was formerly an elite triathlete that moved to Austin, TX.
yes we do.

Sssssshhhhhh! Don't say his name! Saying it three times is worse than saying Betelgeuse or Candyman three times.
No.
I am Usain Bolt.
The site says these are world famous message boards. I don't think you're allowed to lie on the internet so it must be true. If they are world famous then of course all the elites are here.

I spent a few weeks in Iten in 2010, and would go to an Internet cafe a few times per week. I can confirm that on at least one occasion, I saw a bunch of young Kenyan guys congregated around a computer, and they had Letsrun.com up. I don't know if any of them were elite guys (Kiprop was not among them), but I wouldn't be surprised if some of them were pretty quick.
