My goodness, how old is Charlie Hunter? He’s starting to look like my high school math teacher.

Born 7/20/96. 25 years old and competing as a Redshirt Junior LOL. If you're not getting paid to run professionally, might be time to start a life in the real world.

^very slow person who doesn’t understand the desire to compete and be part of a team.

We would welcome him at BYU.
How many different hype threads are you fanboys going to make for the 5th best ncaa xc team?
Well it is the best mid-dstance team ever assembled and it may be the best XC team ever also.

The first part, maybe. Far from the best XC team ever though. Until they put 5 runners in the top 10, that honor goes to UTEP (I believe '87 but correct me if I'm wrong).

'81 UTEP - 17 Points
That's the record.
As far as more "modern" era teams/scores go, no ones really come close to '03 Stanford's 24 Points (maybe if you consider '93 Arkansas's 31 point effort a "modern" era result)
It is silly to compare point totals. Compare track times of the top 5 for Oregon to those teams and you will see that Oregon is better than those teams from the past. Guys are faster today. The world population has doubled.
It’s even sillier to compare track times when comparing which cross country teams are better.

I wasn't comparing point totals, just literally stating results from the past. At no point did I say one was better than the other. The post I quoted literally asked to be corrected if he was wrong (which he was about the year), and I also provided the point total of the NCAA record in case they or anyone else wanted to know.
Also, the extra info about Stanford and Arkansas isn't opinion, it's fact. Since 2003, no winning team has come within 36 points of that Stanford team's 24. The next closest point total, even beyond/before 2003, is the '93 Arkansas team. Again, I am in no way way stating my opinion on who's better, just repeating a known fact about how many points winning teams have scored over the years...
Considering this thread is about great teams, having info and discourse about how those teams performed at the most important meet (the one meet everyone measures everything by) is, in my view, rather pertinent.

Isn't even old enough to be a Utah high school senior getting ready to take a two year "mission" plus a redshirt year plus a medical redshirt year. byu would want him to get a little older before taking him on the roster.

Ryan Hall 13:16
Grant Robison 3:35/13:40
Ian Dobson 13:15/27:59
Louis Luchini 13:25/28:41
Adam Tenforde 13:39/28:23
These are the collegiate PRs of the '03 Stanford top 5, in order of finish. Oregon of today may have great middle distance results, but the 1500 is not the only event in track and field, and Stanford was as dominant on the track as they were on the grass.
Cooper did a podcast with trackstaa in which he confirmed he will probably only stay at oregon for XC, he has two classes remaining so thought he may as well stay. Assume Hocker may do the same (although clearly has more college classes to complete)
