We shall discuss this after the meet. Please bump this thread then if it is not already at the top. The meet has some potential yet it is going to be a nothing burger, burrito, or what have you.

Do you hate track and field
I hate field.
I am definitely not Rojo who claims he is excited about the women’s 100m, presumably among other things. I just cannot think of why I would get excited about any of this. Centro cannot get the American mile record. The men cannot break the 2 mile record. Athing has no chance at the 800m record. Maybe there will be a couple good races, like the men’s 2 mile.

Hate would imply that I care that much. I enjoy watching good races, yes, but with the Olympics over it just seems like what’s the point? I am receptive to being proven wrong.
Mile and 2 mile fields are pretty decent.
It's the closest meeting to the Olympics, so the pros are closest to their peaks.
Maybe what I want to see is Athing go out in 56 and come crawling back in 59 so that posters like VIPAM (and he is far from alone) would just shut up about Athing breaking the world record.
+1
Big dumb dumb heeeeeeeeehawwwwww wwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwWwwwwwwww wwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwWwwwwwwww
It is a big nothingburger. I have been using it as two words but this track meet is a big nothingburger, which is one word.
So you don't like track unless it's the Olympics or a world record involved. I for one am excited because this could be one of the best diamond leagues in history

Apparently so.
It will be erratic and unpredictable. Some stars will still have Tokyo form while others won't look like they belong in the race. The ones with freakish ability level like Mu should hold up fine. Not always true for those dependent on intensity level and concern.
I'll watch but I learned my lesson on betting on this stuff a long time ago. It is also the reason most outlets are hesitant to book it. A little bit of inside information goes a long way and makes the books vulnerable. Contrast to a meet like the Olympics where inside information is glorified crap.

Your Narcissistic personality blinds you to the fact that you are the nobody in your above sentence. Please educate yourself.

Or tired. Usually these post Olympic championships are a bit of a let down. Better to enjoy some good races than be obsessed by fast times

Well we just saw it. Athing tied up down the stretch but she went for it and I admire that.
