Actually that link says that it *does* test people for the Delta Variant — for surveillance purposes.
Standard RT-PCR tests cannot ID the variants.
But batches of tests are submitted for sequencing which can ID the variants.
Constant variant surveillance is done this way!
Another id1ot fishing for a conspiracy.
mods should change title to; cdc explains how it tests for variants on a surveillance basis.
Definition of surveillance
: close watch kept over someone or something
So with 100,000 people being infected with the Trump Virus every day, you think that they're going to DNA sequence each one to determine if it is the DeSantis Variant or not. Yeah right. Didn't think that one through very well, did you?

So, how many samples are being tested for Delta by the scientists? Are they testing all patients samples or just a select few here & there?

Well...you never know with the CDC - they're in cahoots with Big Pharma.
The CDC exaggerating cases? Nah...not the righteous & ethical CDC. Lol

Excellent work!
This one is much better than most of the covid misinformation on this site. Taking an obvious fact, and presenting it in a way that sounds alarming, is a clever way of raising fears and sowing mistrust of our institutions.
On the downside, the post is a bit low-effort being just one link. And the method isn't entirely new - "Wendy's burgers found to contain carbon!!!" - but there's nothing wrong with taking inspiration from the classics.
Overall, a solid B-. Keep up the good work!
NEWSFLASH!!!
Consistently-used method for identifying variants stumbled upon by sceptic, fails to grasp process.
"He think's he's onto something but he doesn't understand that we knew this all along" say sources.
At time of going to press, the would-be discoverer was outraged to unearth that a positive pregnancy test doesn't mean you know what sex your child is.
Yes dear reader, in every country under the sun, the test checks whether you have Covid-19, the WGS or reflex assay checks what variant. The latter doesn't always matter.

Florida still 26th in Deaths per capita, did smack in the middle. This despite having the highest concentration of older citizens than any other state. Do you know how to tell someone is a threat to the prog/left/statists? They try to turn him into Satan. If DeSantis is the republican nominee for President, he will be your next President, and all we'll here is "he's worse than Trump". I bet you lauded Coumo's handling of COVID, like most leftists. You are a useful idiot and a troll.

Some subset.
How many need to be tested to make the subject line of this thread a false statement?
6/10
Low effort, but you made everyone lose their sh!t
Sadly, there really is a breakdown in data collection at the CDC. There is no national level tracking of breakthrough infections and the relationship to the delta variant. Below is an excellent article by Eric Topol on the issue. His twitter is also an excellent source for COVID info.
There is no reporting on whether this has been the result of political influences from the Biden administration or just an administrative agency being too slow to keep up with evolving concerns over the Delta variant. My guess is that it is combination of the two in that the CDC does not want to get into fights with red state health agencies over new data collection procedures and thinks that it can get sufficient representative data from state and local agencies that are collecting the data.
Florida could certainly make things much easier by actually reporting daily counts, rather than doing it weekly. Florida's data surveillance has been totally marked by corruption and concealment.
Remember the firing of the data scientist and search of her property?
Actually, my sniffer told me something fishy was up because of the use of the word "admits." As though they were under suspicion.... You admit like a confession--to something that didnt exist.

April 14 Data
For comparison, below is the data provided by New York City Health as of April 14. It can be noted that the absolute number of deaths of patients without underlying conditions was actually higher in this earlier report compared to the May 13 one, signaling the data has been since corrected and revised downward.
AGE 0 - 17 years old
Number of Deaths 3
Share of deaths With underlying conditions 3
Without underlying conditions 0
Unknown if with underlying cond. 0
Share of deaths
of unknown + w/o cond. 0%
