When the rest of us are sitting on our couches eating potato chips., EK negative splits a marathon. Geez. What a " machine" of a man!!

I ran 21 miles at my goal marathon pace (6:04/mile average is pace) on the treadmill while watching the Olympics marathon.

At that point why not just race! 21 @ GMP?!
I ran for 70 minutes in the am. 90 minute bike ride (road) in the afternoon. Had a shot and a beer while watching the marathon.
I was at work, but later in the day I had a big piece of homemade blueberry pie. Yummmy!
I negative split my second marathon. Went out at 7:30-8:00 pace, went down to 7:20’s for the middle miles, and closed the last three miles at 7:05, 7:00, 6:40.
Probably my favorite race of all time. Yeah, I’m not elite, but was awesome blowing past hundreds of people were much faster than me who hit the wall at mile 20.

lol brother! He's kidding and boasting about a slow time
The marathon was in Sapporo, Not Tokyo.
Walked on the treadmill at 12 incline and 4-4.5 mph for 100 minutes while watching the marathon, as a long run replacement... May be the best form of cross training in my opinion.
I wasn't in Tokyo, but I did a bit over 2 hours of mountain biking (though I only went about 26km).
