Only Seb Coe (1980 and 1984) and Tatyana Kazankina (1976 and 1980) have ever repeated as Olympic 1500 champs. Faith Kipyegon hopes the exclusive club increases in size by 50% this year.

No, nobody can. Kipyegon will win and Muir will take the silver.
Bronze is between Freweyni Hailu and Elle Purrier.

Has Hassan scratched the 1500? If not, she has the best chance, albeit not a great one.
I was thinking about this recently in terms of “If Kipyegon repeats as Olympic champion, is she the best ever in the event?” and I believe her only real competition comes from Kazankina. But now that Kipyegon has beaten Kazankina’s 3:52, and seeing as she’s 27 and better than ever, the title of W1500 GOAT is hers for the taking.

50%?
Does she have some personal issue with centro?
Correct statement. Most likely it will.
Well, I hope Laura Muir doesn't run 3min 51secs and wins! But talking about Laura that recent 800m run was very impressive and if she's been performing but without much tapering, she may be in shape to run 3min 53sec, and if Faith is not 100%, who knows.
No. Unless she gets tripped.
I think Elle is underrated. In both of her 3:58 runs she led from the front and was never pushed. She is very fit and can run faster. Although she has minimal international experience my bet is she will be right there with Muir for either a bronze or silver.
If Hassan runs, I think she has a good chance at first. Yes, she lost their last match up, but I think she was testing a different strategy - out fast and run from the front - and she learned that won’t work. I predict she will start off slower, move her way up, and then let kipyegon lead and try to take her in the last 100m.
Go go go our Kenyan Girl champ. Make us proud.
The gold is yours for the taking..
Nakutakia kila la heri . Team Kenya all the way 🇰🇪🇰🇪🇰🇪🇰🇪🇰🇪🇰🇪🇰🇪🇰🇪
Maybe WADA can stop a repeat.

Y'all are sleeping ON jess hull for olympic gold, while I'm sleeping WITH her
If no Hassa, Kipyego wins in 3:58 to 4:00 relying on her closing speed.
If Hassan run then we may see the first sub 3:50. Hassan went 63,62 61 and last 300 in around 44. This time that may not be good enough.
Muir medals if no Hassan. If Hassan is the race it will depend on who is on that day for the gold.
Hassan/Kipyego toss up
Hailu
No Hassan
Kipyego
Muir
Hailu
For me, it is Kipyegon, Hassan, and either Muir or Lemlem third. Tonight's [tomorrow morning US time] semis won't throw up any surprises. With two semis allowing 5 auto qualifiers each plus two more time qualifiers, I believe the other 8 finalists will be: GDS, F.Hailu, Hull, Purrier, Chebet, Nanyondo, Sabbatini and Maclean. I am counting on the 22yo Italian to be inspired by her young compatriot in the 5000 and Maclean having the advantage of being in the latter heat and knowing what time McGee puts down in 8th in the first one.
GDS and Muir both have good shots.
