much like the track used in the Chinese National Championships, the Stanford track has been found to be minimally short of 400m. Guess that explains all the fast times. What, don't think humans can make mistakes?

I was able to do some survey work last night, and this will not come as a surpise either, that the track is downhill also (all 400 meters).
I also dabble in physics, and I noticed that on the top of the second curve (about the 250 meter mark) on the outside part of the first lane, there is a slight tear in the time-space continuum. If you hit this just right, you will be transported at the speed of light through a worm hole that leads to the end of the curve (300 meter mark). So if you take advantage of this, it is downhill and at the speed of light.
Hell, while I am at it, I might as well do some advertising. I own for a small galactic survey company called "Pi In the Sky Technologies". I do anything from extra solar planets to spiral galaxies. You can contact me at socialjoggerx@galacticsurveys.com. Have a good day.
Downhill and there's always a tailwind.
Something to do with that big linear accelerator they have there on the Farm. It does some weird stuff.
I thought it was due to the flux-compasator. Guess I was wrong.

If you're going to reference Back to the Future, you could at least do it correctly.
flux capacitor
Stop sniffing glue, dumbass.
"guest" are you the same person as "a guest"?
Thanks PA Runner, that is a serious tip. I will put that in my notes, I am scheduled to do a full galactic survey certification before the USATF meet. If we do find anything abnormal, we think based on initial calculations that placing three one ton magnets in a triangle pattern with the track in the center should clear up any problems.
Also, in some of the emails I have been receiving there seems to be some "abnormal" times coming from the Mt.Sac track also. Is this true? If so, just off the top of my head I would think that this would be due to the gravitational pull not being as strong in that area. I will check it out and let you know what I find.
Little hostile aren't we guest. And you're usage of such big words as "dumbass" is just brilliant. Keep up the good work.
And your usage of the word "you're" is even more amazing
Obviously the shortest 400m track in the world is at Zurich. How else could people run so fast? Hard work?
If we wanna discuss short tracks, how about Washington's indoor track? It features Garners 3:58 and Jeremy Parks 7:54 (not sure on time). Those runners went from relative obscurity to the tops of the college lists. Best estimates have the true "300m" track at roughly 294m.
I've heard the Cardinal track is REALLY 400.5 meters. True.
Wow! Guess the only way to run faster is by taking drugs and running on strategically located short tracks around the world.
UW is 307 meters
Our track is.....oooops....was 400 meters
With a curb: 30cm (11.81 in) from the curb.
Without a curb: 20cm (7.87 in) from the line.
Technically, ALL certified tracks are "shorter" than 400m.

Not sure exactly what you're thinking here malmo but I believe tracks are supposed to be right on the money. Road courses include the .1% Short Course Prevention Factor for certification.

Scott, have a look at the IAAF handbook rules at:

No scholarship limits anymore! (NCAA Track and Field inequality is going to get way worse, right?)
