Rupp was absolutely robbed of the podium. He was getting pushed around like a toy out there. Would have loved to see him try to kick with the other bois

He has the marathon soft body now. Can’t take the heat, stay out of the kitchen
still a very impressive race for a marathoner. sub 60 last lap having been tripped so much.
Well no duh he’s was getting pushed around, everyone racing there hates him.
you can't even lie he absolutely killed it though and he's probably still in deep training or just about transitioning it a bit. Imagine he decided to take it on and either won or placed top 3. LOL what a way to have your last race at Hayward go.
But hey he cannot complain about placing 6th he is a legend and what a race to finish off his last track race at Hayward.
Was Rupp planning to double marathon +10,000? Or is he not running the marathon?
Would he have made it? Did he have an OLY time?

Smart race for the guys who had the qualifier and a kick to not drag up guys like Rupp into a chance to be a spoiler... you saw Rupp move up once then realize there was no way and this was only going to be a training run.

No. He stated in an interview he just wanted to see what happens. I think he wanted to just run one last time on the track at Hayward so it was kind of a send off kind of thing. He should be happy with it and I'm glad he was able to do pretty well for his last time racing around that track. He has do so much on that oval, legend at Oregon and in US distance running
Crazy how far Rupp's kick fell.
He used to stick close to Mo in fast 10ks with 51 final laps.
the trip with 2 or 3 laps to go may have cost him a few spots. he looked ready to make a big move, and it was an ugly trip. i thought he was gonna fall way back.
At least the dicks who tripped him didn't qualify either. Good race by Rupp. He's a marathoner now and hung in there strong. Even without the trips, he no longer has 53 closing speed.
Hard to believe it's been 7 years since he ran his 26:44 AR on that track.

Age, injuries and missing Alberto’s chemicals.
Rupp looking for a burrito, without he's flat.
He closed way faster than mo did earlier this month
Any clips of the trip? I thought I saw him go down, but it was such a close up shot that I couldn't tell what actually happened. And the only footage I can find is from the final two laps, which look clean to me.
He kept putting himself In a bad position behind the black dude in the pink singlet. That guy was shoving around a few ppl but they would go around him rupp should have moved harder when Ben true went. Old rupp would have move up harder and settled behind the BTC guys. 600 to go he would have moved up to the lead and kicked hard for 400.
