This is an awful 10000m team. They will be lucky if anyone makes the top 10 in the Olympic Final. The shoes have changed things. These guys have no chance. However congrats to them for making the team. Well done.

In what sense? They all can run very fast 5k/10k times and they ALL just closed in 53-54. Seems like a very good team. Yes they’re young but I don’t think that’s a bad thing. I think all three are in sub 13 shape. Arguably this is the best US 10k team ever.

They are not young. They just are not competitive on the world stage. Not at all.

That's true, but can you think of another 3 from that field that would be more competitive right now? The 3 best guys made the team.

Well, yeah. Rupp. He could have won that race but chose not to.
Klecker may not win the Olympic 10k, but he will definitely win the fight afterwords. He's got to have almost 40lbs on some of the competition.
I don’t know why you don’t think these guys can compete for top ten. Kincaid is a 12:58 guy (normal shoes). Fisher is 13:02 or whatever and Klecker 13:06 and getting better all the time.
Obviously none of them are Rupp level, or Dothan the year he got 6th in 27:22 in the heat, but they are all potential top 10 guys.
