3:33 after a rough start this year.
Impetus for Brooks to get their R and D affairs in order?

Wynne the biggest surprise of the year? This is the US OT darkhorse?
He didn't run a PR because of the shoes. He ran a PR because he trains with The Athlete Special. Top notch training leads to too notch results.

Lol.
Also Wynne ran 3:34, not 3:33.
hes a 351 miler from a few years ago. running a 334 isnt that crazy. after a lot of poor races the beasts finally had a decent meet.
I like Wynne because his over distance and under distance PRs are nice round numbers:
1:47.00 and 13:30.43

Lol. Witty posts like these are why I love coming to letsrun
Great to see a fellow Wrecker from Staples High School (Westport, CT) doing so well this year!

TAS is the ultimate training partner.

I’d say it was a break through race for him. He’s been racing and has been scratching the surface. He was in a good race and he took advantage.
Good for him, but not so much for Brooks. Did he really need to wear the Dragonflys?
He ran 3:51, which converts to 3:33, in 2019. All these shoe-hoaxers are starting to look really dumb.
Why not dye the shoes and get rid of the logo?
Hey Brooks. Look what you’ve created.
Any athlete that runs well will be an advertisement for Nike.
R and D failed in preparation
Marketing failed in allowing this to happen.
Athletes failed by promoting a competitor.
Who wins? NIKE
Fire every athlete that is not wearing Brooks
Fire everyone that thought this was a good idea.
brooks has always been a hobby jogger company anyway and new runners will stumble across brooks ghosts for as long as they are made. i really doubt it makes a difference in sales at all and im sure they know this. if it allows their elite athletes to possibly run a second or so faster then why not.
I wonder if any brooks athletes will wear their new high stack spike? A shame, the elmn8 v5 were my favorite 800m spikes prior to the dragonfly etc.
