Too early to predict but with St. Thomas gone here is my best guess: my best guess based on this outdoor championship, especially from 5k/10k standpoint:
1. Carleton
2. St Olaf
3. Gustavus
4. St John's
5. Concordia
6. Bethel
7. Macalester
8. Hamline
9. Augsburg
10. St Mary's
olaf carleton dual will be solid. st. scholastica should be in the mix for 3-5 too.
Olaf’s plethora of talented youth will battle Gustavus’s Veterans featuring Stumbo and Grant to set the stage as the front runners in the team completion. Carleton looks to find a new identity after losing Wilkinson and Mueller but will get scrappy and one would be a fool to discount them. St.Scholastica is a wildcard with rising sophomore an junior, Boone and Dewall, leading the charge for the Knights the question is how their depth will fare against a notoriously deep conference. St. John’s should be a dark horse podium pick.
Unrelated but can we talk about how SJU's Tremayne Collins became a finance influencer with almost 400k YouTube subscribers and 180k Twitter followers? What the fuck.
Any word on the proposed regionals reworking? Is regionals still going to be in northfield?
I heard Eau Claire will host. Think any MN teams can crack the top five? Probably depends on how many super seniors the WIAC schools return.
Interesting to hear. That will be an even faster course come november. IMO, Carleton/Olaf should be right in the mix with lax, ec, stout, sp, oshkosh. Damn. This region is going to be deep.
I didn't realize the MIAC added St. Scholastica after St. Thomas left/got kicked out. Nice fit.
I grew up in MN and I think I had at least one classmate go to every MIAC school.

Didn’t Stumbo just graduate? He graduated HS in 2017.

Looks like he did graduate.
https://finearts.blog.gustavus.edu/2021/06/04/senior-spotlight-andrew-stumbo/Stumbo will be student teaching. I'm hearing St. John's, Hamline and the Gustavus have some really good recruiting classes coming in. What do other classes look like?
Concordia Moorhead is getting Joseph Lee from Roseville (6th at TCRC Showcase)
The Signing list on Milesplit MN for Class of 2021 is looking pretty sparse right now.
No kidding. Who runs that page?
Good for the Cobbers. He'll train nicely with Smith. Will be interesting to see how they respond to the new coach. I'd guess the training won't be a huge departure. Maybe Middendorf will run XC now!
Who did the Gusties bring in? Anyone Top Five worthy?
Any word on other super seniors?

At the very bottom of this page you will see who the editor of the MN Milesplit page is.
https://mn.milesplit.com/signingsMiddendorf did run XC in 2019. I also see him on the XC 2020 roster. No race results, probably because of COVID.
I haven’t heard about any incoming freshman for Gustavus.
I’m from Mankato area and hearing GUSTIES bring in 3 sub 2min 800 guys but it should take a year or two to see how they adapt to 8k distance. They have some 2nd years who have yet to compete in xc that looked stronger in high school as far as xc goes.
His TFRRS profile doesn't show any XC race, but I don't see any reason he can't be top ten in XC.
3 sub 2:00 guys will certainly boost the Gusties 4 x 800 team. They already have a talented young middle distance group. Will be fun to watch them compete with the Johnnies this Spring.
I've heard there will be a new permanent MIAC XC championship course in the cities. Will be sweet for the alumni and families to come cheer in person.
I honestly could see a scenario where the top ten finishers at conference are ALL from Northfield. Probably unlikely, but not out of the picture.
No way. Stumbo , Young/Another random Gustie, and Middendorf/Smith will all be top ten. Probably two from St. Scholastic. More realistically, less than half will be from Northfield. Meaden is my dark horse.
