Extraordinary Performance, Outstanding!
Hassan ran 14:35 a few days ago.
Maybe back what in the 80s one of those amazing Chinese runners. Oh wait
Great quiz question.
If this were a male we'd be freaking out.
I do think this is unprecedented.
Said Aouita may have had 800, 1500, 3000, 5000, 10000m... he'd be my only guess.
3 of them are indoor if I am not mistaken and after an indoor season heavily restricted by covid or with athletes skipping it because of the Olympics. Does that make it less extraordinary or suspect? I don't know.

Lets try this again: An athlete has world lead in the 800 as well as the 10,000, and everything in between.
Could you imagine Joshua Cheptegi leading the world in the 800 right now? Or Donovan Brazier running a world leading 10,000?

You may be right, but if so maybe we should be similarly skeptical of most other world-beating runners.
Shows how weak women distance running is.
1:57 for a WL is weak sauce.
To the gills!

I honestly think if Hassan wanted to she could have the world lead from 600 all the way through the half marathon it just doesn’t make sense for anyone to do that
probably not far off with respect to hassan -- i'm not sure she would have the world lead in the HM as we have a lot of scorching fast women on the roads right now, and i definitely don't think she could beat out some of the 400/800 talent in the 600 (I honestly think Athing Mu could take her in the 600), but I do think she could beat every time Gusef has put up this year without much trouble.
It's Ma's army all over again. The Ethiopian version of caterpillar juice.
I still think she could get the HM but you definitely have a good point with 400/800 I forget how much young talent there is right now
Aouita only ran one 10,000 m to my knowledge in around 27:26 . That was towards the twilight of his career and I am sure he could have run faster if he had a few more under his belt but that was also on the long side for him.
Mixed in with turtle fungus
I do not think Hassan has run that close to 50 flat or under in the 400 m so I rather doubt she would be dominant in the 600 m
