5 unique NCAA xc champions in one race.

Impressive. We had a pretty deep Turkey Trot field a few years ago...
5 returning separate age group champions, HS XC State Meet Individual Qualifier, D2 Natty 1500 Qualifier, Community College Conference Steeple Champ, New Years Midnight 2mile age group placer, New Years Hang Over Cure winner, Shamrock 8k winner, Firecracker 5k course record holder, Halloween Trick or Treat downhill mile winner, D1 Club Runner doing a tempo run...1st mile went out in like 5:15, huge pack! After that it was a total grind...
My small town's July 4 5K one year had:
A neighboring town's 3200 meter state winner from 12 years earlier.
An old dude who ran on a record-setting collegiate DMR.
A two-year-gone HS teammate of mine who was running D3 steeple.
A HS freshman who had run sub-5 in middle school.
Two teammates of mine who could hang with me in minor meets.
Me, who would go on to win state XC in about four months.
And about two dozen spaz kids from the town who would go out in 59 up a hill.
We ran 4:50 low going out, and the 12-year-removed guy ran a 14:40-high to win.
