Another one dies way too young.
Another one dies way too young.
Anyone know the cause of death? This seems unusual and certainly unfortunate. RIP.
Gofundme cause to pay for funeral expenses.
I don’t mean to be rude but isn’t Paul Chelemo making $200k or more a year? That’s more than probably 90% of workers in the US and he can’t spring for his own brother’s funeral?

You think he's making $200k a year? You don't know much about pro running.
Please donate.
Paul Chelimo is my absolute biggest idol and inspiration, I had the opportunity and unbelievable blessing to watch him race live at the 2019 Doha World Champs. To hear about this tragedy that he and his family lost his brother totally breaks my spirit and heart.
Rest In Peace Alberto, keep running in the Heavens.
Let’s all donate please.
Keep it to yourself
He’s certainly making more than $100,000 a year, which is easily enough to not have to internet-beg to pay for his own brother’s funeral.
I wouldn’t send Scott Simmons, the organizer of this GoFund Me, a red cent.
This is a bummer, I feel trrrible for Paul. Sadly more Letsrunners are interested in making fun of Nikki Hiktz.
Apparently Chelimo is worth 1-5 million bucks and he wants us to pay $28k for his own brother’s funeral.
That is sad, I am sorry. RIP.
Why TF would Paul donate to a platform where he is the recipient.
He has done and continues to do so much for his family.
Additionally, for the dumb f***s who think he should undoubtedly fork the entire cost. Let's take a salary of anywhere between $100-$200K with an invoice for 15%-25% of that and put yourself in the similar situation.
~150K might be more than average but it's not living the dream and especially not ready to drop $25,000 dollars any given day - let alone should be solely responsible for - just because he's a brother.
I feel so bad for people that wake up and try to spread their miserable lives to others.
If you don't like it - move on. Otherwise show some damn sympathy you miserable prick.
Compassion is hard to come by these days.
150k a year does not just exist in a vacuum as pure income. Assuming that is what he makes and saves 20% of his income, that really only leaves him with 30,000 after all expenses paid, aside from any money in a non-savings or brokerage account. I mean yeah sure, he could pay that, but wiping out an entire year's worth of savings would be very difficult for anyone.
