No Harrison is on a another level. Make a podcast about it?
Both runners have 48+ 4x400 capability w/ running start.
Both are decently conditioned and should run close to 3:55
i hope we get the chance to see both of them run blazing fast in TT conditions (kessler has already done this). But i also hope we get to see them just race in a championship atmosphere... would be the best hs race since drew hunter and grant fisher at brooks pr 6 years ago. i suspect they both will be in 3:55 shape this spring
"Workout" Yeah what he did was something else and it aint a workout

Not sure what you mean, but indeed it was part of an incredible workout. Nick Willis referenced it in his instagram post
https://www.instagram.com/p/CMf9GhAhWB_/It was part of his "Michigan" workout as directed by his coach Ron Warhurst.
I have been going to this track once a week on Tuesdays or Wednesdays at noon to do some light intervals and have seen Hobbs, Nick Willis, and a couple of other outstanding runners (both males and females) finishing up or doing their workouts at the Ferry Field track. It can get you pumped up just watching them.
Pretty nice weather for mid March in Michigan btw.
I think he's in better shape than me.
Kessler is a 3:55 guy RIGHT NOW
Harrison will have his shot tomorrow when he goes for sub-4
In a mile race, I take Kessler because he has the superior kick
In a 2 mile, gotta go with Harrison because he seems to have supreme endurance and can wind it up from like 1200 out and wear Kessler out
Both of them are incredible athletes, but let's not forget... Kessler picked up running fairly recently
Harrison said he's been 'running competitively' since age 6!
He will beat Harrison for sure. Last time I checked 3:57 was faster than 4:01
WHY DOES NO ONE POST THE DAMN REST INTERVALS?
You go straight from each segment, so you do the mile then mile tempo etc
The actual Michigan is a 2k tempo in between but Warhurst brought it down for Kesslers workout to only 1200

I don't think so. That would mean he did 8.8km in 25 mins ... averaging 2:50/km or 4:32/mile for 5+ miles, and while Kessler is a great runner, doing that is just insane.
There's definitely a 2-3 minute jog between the track and tempo sessions at least.
looking at his strava , it looks like the rest varies from 1-3 mins between reps

Mason Ferlic did the real Michigan with the 2k+ tempo loop. You can see from his strava that the recovery was a slow jog from the track to the loop (and vice versa) of between 0.2mi and 0.23mi. He usually jogged it in a little over 2 minutes. Although it appears he took extra recovery before running the 400m.
Hobbs did a modified Michigan with a 1 mi tempo loop instead of the 2k+ loop. It also looks like Hobbs missed pressing his lap button a couple of times during the workout and missed some of the segments. It also appears that he stopped and took extra recovery before blasting the 50.x 400m at the end.

That extra recovery before the final 400m is often to change into spikes

No, that was not going to age well even before DAD posted it.
But DAD must have some really good weed!
