Dang. What kind of marathon would this convert to. Yes, I'm being lazy.
2:17:xx enroute
This guy trains like he has superpowers. 7 days before doing this he did a treadmill 50km at a pace faster than this.
Oh and he did a 6 mile run after averaging 6:49.
133 mile week before doing this.
Imagine Kipchoge doing a treadmill marathon in 2:00 and then a PM double for 6 more miles 7 days before his 2:01:39.
A bit......curious.
Nothing to be curious of. This sounds like something Rupp would do and he.......oh wait.
I'll try again I once heard about Makhloufi doing 2x800.....dam*.
Uhhhhh.....Cheptegei ran a 10km World Record and then 10(?) days later raced a half marathon pretty well. But I feel like 31 miles MIGHT put a little more fatigue in the body than a 10k. Just maybe.
His training is absurd. Makes you think he might be seeing Dr. Brown for some of Alberto's good ol' special sauce

If it was just one runner running it doesn't count. It has to be a race with at least 3 runners.
But nobody cares about 50k anyway. Run a Marathon or 100k.
Marathon split 2:16:52, he’s a machine

Wow he aint even trying to hide it.
I have Clayton as my darkhorse pick for the Marathon Project. He wasn't even close to top shape for this 50k. The hard work started just a few weeks before that. I feel he can run 2:08 in December.
Agreed. He was 7th at the us Olympic trials in 2:11 and change on a course that was supposed to be 1-1:30 min slower than a fast course. The aim of the project is to run under 2:09 as I understand it. He should be a favorite
I’d mark him a favorite too. Hope they’re testing.
