European Record, finishing her sweep of the list
Has any man ever been top five all time in the 1500 and 10000m?
LRC note. She's not top 5 all-time in the 1500. She's currently #6.

That would be cool if she was European.
poor bait
The fact that she ran faster than WR pace 5000m into the race in those conditions and still ran that time is super impressive. I was thinking she was going to burn out of fuel after racing like that, especially alone after 4000m. Imagine her with competition in the later stages of the race and with optimal conditions...
Tokyo 2021 is going to be interesting with Hassan, Obiri, and Gidey!

Farah was not in top 5 all-time in 1500m and also not in 10000m.

Aouita was 6th in the 10k. Should have ran .5s faster:)

The question was top 5 all time in 1500m and 10k, despite your adulation, he fails miserably here with a resounding NO.

4th fastest time with horrible weather conditions.
I believe she can definitely challenge the WR.
She should try again.
29:36/10k is worth roughly 14:18 for 5k (10k time divided by 2 = 14:48 minus 30 = 14:18). This simple formula is typically pretty accurate, give-or-take a few seconds.
(Cheptegei's 12:35/5k WR suggests a 26:10/10k WR so "bang on" in this instance.)
Gidey's recent 14:06/5k WR is thus approx. equivalent to 29:12/10k.
Since the current women's WR is 29:17/10k, Gidey has taken the 5k record down where it "should" be, even slightly better.
Still, a long ways to go to be considered in the same breath as Junxia's 8:06/3k WR. Believe it will take a sub-3:52/1500 woman to break that one. Sifan Hissan is the only woman on the planet right now who is "credentialed" to have any hope of doing so.

Mo has done nothing of the sort. These stats are from the World Athletics website. Yes, a couple people have hopped him since he kind of retired, but not many. He was top ten in one event, the rarely contested 2 mile. The one hour run is such a goofy anomaly they don't even include it, and they do include the 2000SC and the 600.
1500 - 12th
3000 - 77th
2mile - 9th
5000 - 38th
10000 - 17th
Half Marathon - 94th
Marathon - 64th
To compare his range to Nurmi or Hassan is a mistake.

Spend 10 minutes around her, and it wouldn’t matter to you how beautiful she was. She is insufferable. Feel free to ask anyone that has been around her. With all seriousness, 2 years on, I still can’t determine if she’s somewhat mentally slow or really as odd as she seemed.
I have different experience. When training in Eindhoven she hang out at the bar after training more than once. Kind and empathic person.
I honestly had a completely different experience. I found her really engaging and interesting when I met her in Oregon. She asked me questions about my running experience.
What is she like?
She's skinny runninggirl but has a pretty face/eyes.
But yeah, if a girl isn't interesting/nice... doesn't matter how good looking she is

Maybe take a refresher on how immigration works.
You must not consider yourself American since people were already living here well before it was 'discovered.'
