New Norwegian record.
It just adds up to the the U18 world female decathlon record by Henriette Jæger last week.
All you that say oh yeah asthma medicine and all when it is about Norway just being the best sporting nation of the worldby far:
Well, there is a thousand years tradition of community support to anyone and traditon for sports from Viking age off.
If your tradition is to sit in the sofa, you and your children will not pull it off.

Do you thing she is related to the Old Edda?
Nice! She's really cut off some good time from her PR this season. Also the best run from Buchel I've seen in a few years, probably her fastest time since 2015 when she ran 1:57. Seems like Reekie went out a bit too hard but still another solid 1:58 from her.

Nice recap.
Bumch of scandanaviens all of sudden running fast. Nothing suspicious here.
It is kinda nice seeing girls and not men running the 800 w.
I do understand the hurt from the likes of Castor Semenya, but having that amount of testosterone, or even haven grown up with an elevated level of testosterone, or being born a man for that sake, well, you need to get your own competitions, the sad thing is of course that the number of people born this way, t is minuscle, so, well. I am sorry for that, but happy that the sports as it have become now.

Norway was the only nation in the World having a functioning WADA aparatus in March and April, rolling out home cars to do tests.

I have to give you right though that the way of building success and the ideologies between the Oregon Project and the Norwegian Sporting Model are not far apart, and the key points are building, building, building, and look at all aspects, turn every stone, even so little, to find the answers.
oh... sure... but what I meant was the drug stuff
Four under 1:58.9. Great race, thanks for sharing. Ajee Wilson, Raevyn Rogers and the Ugandans should have some real competition next season, as the Europeans are starting to put together some stronger times.

I am Norwegian, and despite all the success I just got to believe that the two major episodes the nation have faced the last decades (Johaug Lipbalm, Sundby overdosing asthmamedicine), are just episodes (that the doctors did take responsibility for).
they finally figured their medicine out to world class level. no more $2.49 lozenges
Just did a little research on her.
Coming into this year, she had broken 2:00 twice in her career running 1:59.87 and 1:59.88 in 2017. She was a semifinalist at WOrlds in 2017 and 2019 (went out in heats of Olympics)
rome wasn't built in a day
I did a little 'research' on you. didn't know you're a triple jumper. iaaf has you born 2 months after wejo, suggesting different mothers? none of my business, but it's public information
.She has been around 2 flat for a few years. The pandemic has been a blessing in disguise, I believe.
Normally, she has to chase the qualifying times for worlds etc, but this year she has been able to focus on peaking once. A 1:58 is not otherworldly, unlike 1:54 from an East-block athlete.
