The video said the men's record is in the 4:30s and the women's is in the low 6s?
Those don't sound comparable.
Few, but not zero. Check out Union in Baltimore, bro.
Better marketing and exposure than Bowerman TC time trial the other day. That's what's wrong with our sport.
Bellemore ran a 4;24 that was DQ'd when he went half an ounce over. He was running 4 minute pace between beers.
Canadians seem to own the beer mile.

For one I'm guessing there aren't many women who run this compared to men.
It may also come down to chugging ability? The best guys chug each of their beers in 7-8 seconds. I tried this with a few friends for the first time Saturday and we all chugged the first beer in like 15 seconds and the next three were like 2-3x slower which adds up quickly. Trying to catch your breath and chug a beer at the same time is far more difficult than you would think.
Women are expected to intake the same amount of alcohol and foam, despite having a smaller stomach and body. Therefore, the negative effects that need to be coped with are going to be more significant for an average-sized female than an average-sized male. The men have it (relatively) easy compared to the women.

Science..but aren't we all the same.?
Yea a full 3 days.
wow quirky
Bellemore has the three fastest times, including the official record of 4:33.6, and four of the top ten times. But the record was set way back in 2017. Second fastest competitor is 13 seconds behind Bellemore's best. Time for a new generation of boozers to step forward and offer him some competition.
This is just stupid.
Finally a running event worth watching

No, no one says that. They just say that everyone should have the same rights and opportunities.
We're obviously not all the same. Like a lot of guys, I think it would be a blast to try a beer mile. Far fewer women are stupid enough to do something like a beer mile.
Its going to be 95 degrees with high humidity here in the DMV tomorrow. Probably not the smartest thing to be chugging beers and running.
This is so effn dumb. Run your four laps then drink as much as possible.
We all need life goals to inspire generations to come.
Everybody needs to chill out. The world is in an awful way right now, so a little goofy distraction is exactly what we could use.
