If we dip into recession, that is always bad for the party in power, regardless of the reason for the recession (it IS the main reason Trump lost in 2020...unfortunate that we had to have a recession to get that POS out of office, but he had a good chance of being re-elected without that recession).
So, today some of you Trumpers can crow if you wish. Seems silly to me, but that's your low level of thinking, so I get it.
If you were really being honest with yourselves though, 2022 was already almost for sure going to swing heavily toward Republicans even without a potential recession. You would have been much better off with a recession leading up to 2024 than 2022. Recessions don't typically come every other year, so if we have one in 2022, it's not likely we will have another one in 2024, though we DID just have one in 2020, so it could happen.
