I unironicaly love the movie in your username, almost as much as I love stirring the pot.
I hope we can all agree that the 2020 election is over and the results are final. I have a hard time wrapping my head around how exactly viewing the result as illegitimate harms anyone. People during both the GWB and Obama Presidencies proudly displayed "Not my President" bumper stickers. Reality says otherwise.
Can we at least shift the terms of discussion?
In January of 2010, what would become the Twitterverse was having a fit over the ruling handed down in Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission. In layman's terms, the decision stated that "campaign finance money was protected speech," hence corporate limits on campaign contributions were unconstitutional. Liberals thought this was the end of the world, because back then, corporations were still aligned with the Republican Party. If you read this article and scroll a little past halfway down, you will see that their anxieties were unfounded, as the Democratic Party *heavily* outspent the Republican Party in 2020:
It seems like nobody wants to have this conversation, so I am inviting you--regardless of your political affiliation--to do so.
Also, poster with the epic name, I feel very strongly that Trump is *not* a Republican. Your prediction about the next two election cycles (that the GOP will clean up) is probably right...but only by virtue of the fact that the Dems have seriously tarnished their brand...by championing policies that matter to, in my estimation, 20% of the American people.
