This feels weird, because Scott Adams doesn't need defending....and still, I think this is important: he isn't a conservative. He defines himself as "to the left of Bernie."
And I take him at his word. If I had to find a public figure he is most closely aligned with, it would be Elon Musk. He's a "free speech absolutist." (Who was demonitized from YouTube for calling Nancy Pelosi a bad word.)
Anyway...this is a Joe Biden thread, right? Here's what he said about Joe Biden: "I've never met an actual Joe Biden supporter. Have you?"
Thought-provoking question. Personally, I'm a much bigger fan of Joe Biden during his "most eligible bachelor" Senate days. Especially because he didn't fade into oblivion after facing personal tragedy.
Current Biden seems dedicated to projecting a grandfatherly image, and a woke one, at that. I don't have a clear sense of what you think of the man, but many are skeptical. I hope you can see why.
What do you think of the man? Are there particular policies you support? Any you have misgivings about? While you are at it, how do you feel about Kamala?
For transparency's sake, I think Americans should get behind the President, no matter who, as the country succeeds when the President does. But Uncle Jo is having a hard time bridging what I see as a massive gap between the moderates in his party and the loudest voices. I think the former outnumber the latter by a factor of more than two-to-one. To wit: "The Squad" consists of exactly six people. (It's arguably one or two that matter.) The "Freedom Caucus," which is still around, has over forty members.
I'm much less of a provisional fan of Kamala. Biden made her the "Border Czar," and yet when she took the reins of that job, she didn't visit the border for a long, long time. When asked about it, she said, "Well, I haven't been to Europe, either!" I don't want a Vice-President who is less well-travelled than I am.
But I don't hate either one. In America, we get the leadership we deserve.
