Harambltch, he is not living off the government. He is getting the just reward for his brave work, unlike you, fearmongering on LRC 15 hours/day.

The Crotty thread I posted had a good roundup.
The CDC also has a good summary in this long page of literature review:
https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/science/science-briefs/fully-vaccinated-people.htmlSee the section on transmission.
There’s no evidence to suggest the standard model of: less cases = less transmission is wrong and the vax certainly reduces infections.
Billions of unvaccinated people aren't dying.

All other differences aside, if you are indeed a retired firefighter: THANK YOU. I appreciate what you did in protecting others. Nothing more noble than risking your life to help others. So, genuinely, thank you.
Dude will bravely run into a burning building to save a stranger but won’t get a vax to protect himself and others with far, far less risks involved.
Just goes to show that nobility in some arenas doesn’t mean consistency in all.

Yeah, it's so rare to see one of your posts on these threads!

Mostly likely the government or a government funded pension is paying him. Regardless of his history he is reliant, in some part, on the evil government now.
I find this ironic with respect to his militant “personal freedom” babbling.

Thousand are in the US and it’s tragic. They leave behind distraught families and friends, who know they had the ability to stop it, but dogma and meaningless politics got in the way
The boxes in the dashboard’s top line show the relative risk of infection (positive test), hospitalization, and death for unvaccinated people, compared with those who are fully vaccinated. For example, in the month leading up to August 26, unvaccinated people in King County were:
7 times more likely to test positive for COVID-19 than vaccinated people
49 times more likely to be hospitalized than vaccinated people
32 times more likely to die from COVID-19 than vaccinated people.
Good luck to all you freedom fighters out there!

Here is the ONLY study that the CDC sites in the link that you posted that says that unvaccinated are more likely to transmit the virus. This is the study the CDC is using to also make that claim. It is not peer reviewed, it has a few huge conflicts of interest (Hong Kong SAR Government), and the way they collected the data is very flawed (self reported contact tracing).
https://www.medrxiv.org/content/10.1101/2021.08.12.21261991v1So just to confirm you want to mandate vaccines based on this little of evidence? Also how do you explain the fact that Israel and several other highly vaccinated areas have a higher covid outbreak this year than they did last year without the vaccine?

Got in the way of what exactly? A virus mutation designed and patented using American investment, to be 'cured' by vaccines developed by the same vested interests?
And you want to blame those who don't agree with your version of Biology?

Not sure why you think that is pertinent.
The point is you cannot have a post called pandemic of the vaccinated. You can have one called pandemic of the unvaccinated. Got that now?

Contact tracing is complicated and hard to do at a large scale. Getting good data on direct transmission is hard. (Also peer-review is slow and a questionable value-add in a pandemic; you clearly have little scientific experience if you use peer-review as a strong-gate for believability — more likely it’s just a cudgel for when you see a study that disputes your priors. Nobody is making decisions off a single pre-print alone.)
Thankfully we have lots of other evidence that vaccines prevent infection. Less infection strongly suggests less transmission! Did you accept the data on transmission in April before Delta? We didn’t have contact tracing data then either. If one population is getting infected much less (and clears infections faster) they are going to transmit less.
Israel is much more open than they were last year. All reports shows there are basically no restrictions and little adherence to any that do remain. It’s unsurprising there are lots of transmission — delta is very infectious ( another BIG variable that has changed — emergence of delta ). Oh yeah, and they’re doing about 2x the testing. Lots of variables have changed in Israel that make direct comparison to previous waves more difficult than just looking at a chart. I suspect you know this but have some weird motivation to discredit vaccines because… you like death? I dunno
To repeat: A "case" is NOTHING MORE THAN A POSITIVE TEST, period.
When people who've been vaccinated nevertheless have become infected by SARS-CoV-2 as determined by a positive test, that constitutes a "case."
The "case" designation says nothing about illness or degree of illness. So to say that 3/4 of "cases" are among vaccinated people, simply means that OF THOSE WHO WERE TESTED, 3/4 of the positive tests were of people who'd received a jab.
BUT it is also true that, on average, people who've been vaccinated are more likely to get tested...so that if they're positive for the virus, that status is more likely to be known. Sorry, that sentence reads awkwardly. Here's the flip side: On average, people who have not been vaccinated are less likely to be tested, and so less likely to be registered as "cases" even if they have the virus.

Really? Why?
Your claim that your opinions are being stifled or censored made me laugh. No one's opinion is seen more frequently on these Covid threads, and that's saying a lot because there are a few people who also express their opinion quite often. But I think you've got them beat.
And there are some days when there are 3 or 4 Covid threads, all started by you. So, you got one thread deleted. Get over it. It sounds like it was a troll thread anyway. You're not being censored, but I guess the moderators here, who have too much tolerance for Covid misinformation if you ask me, have their limits.

Discredit vaccines? Not at all, I am very pro vaccine and absolutely believe that this vaccine has a positive impact on how sick you get from the virus. However, the idea that this vaccine helps stop the spread is an agenda pushed lie that helps no one and is used to force compliance. There are also non-peer reviewed studies that would suggest that the vaccinated are spreading the virus more than the unvaccinated. The message should be simple, take the vaccine if you are worried about the virus and want extra protection but at the end of the day it is your choice. No more mandates. It doesn't make sense. The government power grab needs to stop.
