I don't see her name upto 2:51 finishers, so i'd say so.

Delighted for him
His wife Katy (Moen) ran 2:33. Nice work for Team Minn.
Ngandu goes home devastated. Only a 9th place finish. Now that his domination of d2 has ended he’s just running some local hobby jogger meets and cleaning up. But failed to do so again today.
That's 3 Minnesotans under 2:19 and 2 under 1:04 for the men. If the other 98.3% of the USA population was on par we'd be pretty solid in this event as a nation

BLACK PAGE FOR WALMSLEY!!!!!!!
Dude went for it and got it. He could have taken the "easy" way out and gotten the OTQ via the marathon but instead he chose the much tougher way to do it. Good on him. It's good for the sport or running in general.

Fixed it for you.
Above comment is probably just a troll, but a 1:04 half is worth a 2:13:xx marathon according to a few different equivalency calculators. So getting the 2:19 marathon standard itself would have been a much easier effort. Plus, for an ultramarathoner, whose training is typically aimed at much longer distances, running a shorter distance further out of their comfort zone like this is the tougher thing to do.
More impressive, though, is Walmsley did this off of just a single 8-week training block aimed at the half-marathon after several consecutive years of slower-paced ultra training. If you check out his Strava log, during this block he did one or two faster-paced workouts a week, typically either (a) 2 to 3-mile tempos or 1-mile tempo intervals in the 4:50 to 5:00/mi-paced range, or more CV-like intervals in the 4:30 to 4:45-pace range. A bit Tinman-like except for the fact the CV-paced efforts were shorter intervals in the 400m, 600m, 800m range (though sometimes longer). And he did not do multi-layer paces in single workouts to speak of, except 400m/600m/800m ladders a couple of times.
If I recall correctly, he ran 20x200m once early in the block (something like 31 sec) and 20x400m also early (69 sec, which is CV pace for him). But then after that, almost all tempos and a few CV-paced intervals tacked onto his usual ultra training, including a 40-some-miler in the Grand Canyon mid-block or so. He did lower his peak mileage from 140/week to 120 presumably to allow for the faster track sessions.
Does Western Hemisphere include Ireland, Scotland, Wales and a big chunk of England?
This is why I didn't expect him to get it today. He did 8 weeks of training where he basically trained for ultras and did 6 - 8 workouts that were geared towards towards the HM. Today is really encouraging for what he could do if he dedicated 4 months to OT Marathon
In true ultra fashion, did he walk across the line to hit 64 flat?

Turn down your volume, I think your mother is yelling at you again to get ready for church.
Butthurt because somebody pointed out how stupid you are?

DNF at 25-35km?
How'd the LRC training group do? Angry Giraffe 1:15, not what he wanted.
Stinson had the best race, IMO.
Wade's 1:12 has to be disappointing for her. Any other runners doing Boston?

Awesome freaking run by Tyler. His Strava has been to follow. Even at times with him commenting after big workouts something along the lines of "am I really fit or just stupid? We'll find out in Houston."
Ditto to very impressive debut from his wife Katy.

Europe? Western Hemisphere? Wow.
Isn't it? It's not something that's really talked about here (in Britain) though I would have thought that eastern Russia, Asia etc was the Eastern Hemisphere. Where are the dividing lines?
I don't know either. I live in Ecuador and always struggle about the equator line. Where is the north and where is the south?

Ever heard of Greenwich, in London, in the UK?
Or just Wikipedia, for crying out loud?

She is listed as a DNF in the results. My fantasy of her going full Meb/Deena and making a comeback at age 40 will have to wait another day :(
congrats to Eddie Garcia, freshly minted OTQ, Atlanta-bound!

I posted my recap on the training thread. Just missed sneaking under 1:15 but overall a good day and nice PR for the giraffe. Likely a Western Hemisphere record for giraffes.
Fernando Cabada - Elites 1:10:15
Was he a pace bunny or something? He ran 63:22 last June.
