Em dropping further back. Think she's done.
Julien's early impetuosity is not paying off as was predictable but at least she had her glory time on French national TV which might pay dividends.
Ready to eat humble pie if I end up being wrong but why do these runners who are not favoured think they can drop Assefa, Jepchirchir et al.? It happens every race. Faniel yesterday the latest example.
Who was the last person to win like this, dropping an elite field?
Temps?
Gap to Sisson is getting bigger not smaller :(
In other news, Chelimo has 19 seconds on Cheptegei who is 8 seconds ahead of Bekele!

is there a peacock feed that is only slow motion shots from the ankles down?
One is ankles and super shoes, one is just people from the rear.
why does hutchins keep talking about keeping an eye on the australian runners?
Sisson lost significant ground from 20-25k, now 52 seconds behind the leader. Looks like Lindwurm is America’s hope.
Woldu - the French athlete of Ethiopian origin seems to be accelerating to join the lead group very surprising.

If you must know, low 70s but heating up. Interesting to see how this plays out, these women are hanging tough!

What are they supposed to do? Never try?
Sissons is disappointing. She's out if it since 10k.
I kind of like the narrow sections of the course. Reminds me of cross country races. It sometimes feels silly to be running in the middle of a 4 lane road.

I think it's a bit of Tour de France syndrome, where an inferior rider often takes it out hard just to get some coverage for their sponsors. For Melody Julien, it's probably getting a bit of camera time in front of the home crowd
Woldu, 31:25/2:24:44
Dakotah was built for these conditions!
lets go assefa!!!!!!!!!!!

She was monstered by the hills in Atlantan four years ago, when she said the hills destroyed her quads. I don't know why anyone thought she would do anything on this course
