Whittaker PB in 3rd 1:57.76
shes first time qualifier right now
Would LOVE to see Whittaker in this final. She was a little boxed if she’d gone wide a little earlier I see her with an auto Q. Big upside she runs fearless like a legit pro!

Tollefson?
I don't remember seeing times these quick in the semis before
Top 4 in semi 2 were all faster than Moraa's winning time in semi 1. PB for Whittaker.
Wow I didn’t expect Reekie to blow up like that!

With a PB! She’s such a gamer.
I thought she was out of it with 100 to go, but she rallied amazingly to get third and has a decent chance of going to the final
Yes, she and Kara representing MN
Shouldn't these be called the 800 meter tri-finals?
Nah, 'semifinal' refers to next-to-last round, not necessarily there being only two rounds.
Great run by Whittaker. Tough as nails

Her tactics were great; she just didn't have it the last 200.
Moraa ran wide cuz they split 58-58. Running wide in a 56 opening lap is a different universe. Bad tactics.

Wtf this first 1500 semi final roster is brutal
Right? Kerr might have trouble getting out of it.

I'm happy Whittaker made the team - you can see the potential and 1:57 is crazy fast for someone stuck at that 2 flat range

Reekie going on the shoulder in a 56pt pace. Idiotic.
True but Whitaker survived somehow also being on outside

Lol Reekie flops again
This was again a tactical disaster for the Brits - why run a race that fast on the outside of lane 1/inside of 2?
Also Whittaker could have had an auto there if she had just been patient a split second longer and not swung out to lane 3 there. Ugh.

No! This line of thinking bothers me so much. She ran well because she stayed on the rail. In fact, had she stayed on the rail the whole way she would have gotten 2nd.

Those indoor miles and outdoor concentration on the 1500m have paid immense dividends.

She at least got a little draft and tucked in on some of the turns.

Rob Walker, John Anderson, and Carrie Tollefson
