15 of 18 coming from 6 countries is interesting. The 3 solo guys are Arese, Nader and Essayi. Essayi we can now conclude was training through NCAAs? He’s coming on strong.
Initially didn't feel great about how Hocker looked (physically–obviously tactics weren't great with getting boxed in the final 300), but the reality is that there are two guys way above everyone else right now in the 1500. Hocker was still among the best of the rest (in terms of the ease with which they advanced).
Does anyone actually know many qualify from the repechage round? Is it heat top and no time qualifiers like prelims? Is it uniform across all events in terms of qualifiers out?
Who are the announcers on peacok? They are pretty good and actually get hype even in distance races. Surprising, but happy with it.
So you get to decide what point someone else wants to make? What was said was perfectly accurate, if you want to restate it, enhance it, or discuss it, then do that, but to say they are wrong or omitted something is stupid. They made the comparison they wanted to make.

I feel the same. I didn't feel good about Hocker throughout that race, but was OK with doing what he did in the final 100m. Will make for interesting semifinals on the 4th. I still feel good about his chances to medal.

Someone else in this thread said top 3 from each heat. No time Qs. This will give 24 runners for two semis of 12.

Terrible post-race interview from Sha'carri with Eurosport who walks off mid-interview
Just when I thought maybe she'd matured a bit... ffs
Why did she walk off?
Interviewer asked her a question along the line of 'so, how good does it feel to be stood here now after what happened for Tokyo? Are your family here watching?'

They probably called her Sha🚗e, which she hates. If you don't call someone by their right name they don't need to talk to you because you clearly are not talking to them.

if that's what they asked i gotta say it's not a great question. not insulting, but what do you want her to say, "it feels great, yeah they are here. ttyl"

The "are your family watching" was their rebound question after Richardson politely said she's not concentrating on the past, but the present".
I'm not a Richardson fan in the slightest, but there was nothing untoward with her response.

It's a ROJO question, which means it's stupid. She's there now, she just ran, ask her about that, not about 3 years ago. And they are pronouncing her name wrong.
