Arizona state DNF in the 4x100 and Robinson DNS in the 400. Injury?
Just to answer my own question, since someone uploaded the Pac-12 4x100 - Yes, it was injury. Robinson was running 3rd leg and pulled up right at the exchange zone - presumably hamstring. I hope it is nothing serious.
Congrats to the ASU 4x4 men's relay for being the last PAC 12 champs, and Washington for being the last team champs ever in the PAC 12, and the Orgeon Women for being the last to wrap the title up.

Wow, the Big 10 is garbage. Those 400 times are like D3 level. 47.53 gets points?
20 D3 athletes would score in the 400. 37 would score in the 100!
That's so bad. The sprinting is WIAC level.
False equivalency, people run slow in poor conditions, who would have guessed... 46.8 is 8th on the year, so only 4 D3 men could score. 10.29 is 8th in the 100, so only 4 would score there also.
With only the 4x4 left the Stanford men have only scored 35pts and are in last place. [UW leads with 150+ pts]. How did it come to this?
How? Well they had 24pts, then Robinson won the 5000 for 10 more and 34.
They are preparing for acc.
So, I'm a sprint guy, not a distance guy so I'm earnestly asking this -- that performance has to be bad enough for his job to be in jeopardy right? How can Stanford be that bad?

72 and sunny today in Ann Arbor. If that's poor conditions, I'd love to know what you consider to be good ones.
Nice W for Elliott Cook over Green, Houser and Waskom. Slow as heck race but being able to get the tactics right and close in 52.4 is a nice skill to have.
OTOH, I’ve said it before: R. Harrison needs to stop thinking he can go straight to the rear in every race and always make it up with his kick. He was 11th/12 through 700 in 2:00…that’s a 700 split, not 800. He finished 7th but just .13 behind Waskom in 4th. He needs to be closer to the front.

I did a good bit of Jerry bashing a few weeks ago after none of the Oregon guys ran well and Birnbaum got hurt, so I feel like I should recognize it's pretty impressive to win over the last 3 NCAA champs. And like you said, the only reason Harrison's result looks so bad is because he went straight to the back. Since he hasn't raced much, I think some of his tactical faults can be placed on Jerry, but he's young and young guys have to make mistakes.
The women did well, so hopefully the men just had some bad luck this year and we'll see some great results next year. I'm not rooting against Oregon/Jerry, but until he starts getting some results that come close to what Ben Thomas was getting, I'll keep wanting every top recruit to go to NAU/UW/NC/UVA, or any of the other schools that are getting great results without sacrificing athlete's health.
Ethan strand leaves Gary Martin in last 100 to take acc 1500. 53.03 last lap
Always hyped to see a good Ethan Strand result. I raced (way way way behind) him a bunch in high school. Pretty sure he singlehandedly raised Alabama distance running up by about 10 notches. He was the first AL guy to break 9, and won doubles/triples at state for 4 years. Now he's run 3:35 and I'm hoping for him to win the title. Last year he was last in the 1500 and I was pressed, but he was like 4th in the mile indoors, so I'm hoping he can get it outdoors.
What is going on with Sophie O'Sullivan this year? Saving it all for Paris?
very injured
Her XC season was not that great, but understandable following extended track season. And she even helped NC St win title by passing at least 1 NAU runner at very end. But then she runs Indoors, not very fast, and again outdoors. With steady training I would have thought she would have regained the fitness. Are they rushing her back from training interruptions too fast?

Is she? They get results. Looking at the [controversial] 4 x 800 victory over Providence at Penn relays a few weeks ago. But maybe what works for the men doesn't work for the women, if she has the same philosophy as Andy Powell. I have an acquaintance on that team (women's team) that's been on the injury train, but that could happen at many schools.
