I’m hoping Thorner and Asekol were heeding past BYU coach Ed Eyestone’s advice for Regionals, “Come in third, come in third.”

Did not see the race but based on the splits and the close over 1.5 k I would say this is on par with Tuohy's ACC race last season. Unscientifically Tuohy looks to be peaking while Valby fell back somewhat to the pack. I think I will wait to the final press conference to make a call.
Volume off is u suggestion.
Taylor Roe still wearing the wrap on right upper leg. Seemed very fit at conference I wonder what the story is?

We already know your call, lol.
Still no Hentemann for OSU
South Central starting not too long ago. Arkansas women currently in the lead with 20 points at the mile mark with 5 in the top 10. Also, interesting to see that NAU was so dominant in the Mountain region without Elise Stearns

BYU held out several as well. NAU pack was a little more spread out than earlier this year tho
You don't think Valby let off the gas a little bit? Up 5.6 seconds at 1 mile, 7.1 seconds at 2.4k, 9 seconds at 3k, 10.5 seconds at 4k and 12 seconds at 4.5k. Seems like Valby was only getting stronger and decided to coast for the last 1.5k when it was in the bag.
Yep, Tyynismaa a DNF. Does anyone know what her injury was?
I'm guessing that she will not be running next week with Stephens & Chmiel back. Schulz or Howlett will also not be running.
Valby only has one gear. I just saw the SE finish. Grassy course. Tuohy just sauntered in.
It's really hard to say if she let up or not. It's probably a good guess that she did let up some. Don't base anything on the times or splits. That course was a good bit short. I would guess maybe around 200ish meters short.
Mountain Women's Results:
Individual Winner: Gracelyn Larkin (NAU)
NAU - 39
BYU - 59
Utah - 120
Colorado - 131
Utah Valley - 136
Colorado St. - 159
New Mexico - 178

Somebody (probably a coach) gave her a hand check around that point in the race.
