very disappointed to see a lack of humility when receiving praise from El-G. Someone said it on this thread that part of building the sport is acknowledging the greats from the past and I agree

Yes, my wife - as an example - would watch track if only today's athletes would acknowledge past athletes...or not.
I mad a thread on this last night and it was deleted by a mod. This forum is becoming a lost cause since the 'anti-doping' Brojos made John Wesley Harding and Rekrunner mods.
Why would you think I'm a mod? You are deluding yourself.
He may get to 3.27 low but I don't think he will beat 3.26. I don't think he has the necessary speed. He is more like Komen than El G. Enormous endurance.
Now you are quoting that guy who is owning you in that other thread.
You aren't subtle enough to see that the question of his doping and what he might run can involve separate discussions. It's always the dumbest here who want to make it personal.

Jakob is now a second faster than El G at the same age, with most of the season still to come. I expect him to run low 3:27 this summer, and if they bring back the 1500 in Monaco next year, the WR will go.

How about there is a difference between responding to a comment graciously and sounding like a self-absorbed prat - and some have yet to learn that?
