When's the last time a photo finish took this long to adjudicate?
Allyson Felix vs Jeneba Tarmoh at the 2012 Olympic Trials. In that case they decided to run the race again.
That's what they should do here. Run the race again!
The reaction show starts at 4 pm ET: https://www.youtube.com/watch?...

Kiplimo is bald, so he lost.

You actually think every runner PB's every race? You're an idiot.

4:54.21 last 2k!
7:31 last 3k
Hope Kejelcha sticks as the winner, he’s due for one
Has there ever been a faster last 2,000?
I can’t think of one but if there has been it was in a MUCH slower race.
That last 2k was within 2 seconds of Jim Spivey’s 2k American record.
Klecker and Grijalva with two sub-13's in two weeks. Pretty awesome! Definitely a step up this year for both of them
According to the Live Results API --
Kejelcha = 12:41.725 (see ATHM5000M---DIAMOND---FNL-000100---114073)
Chelimo = 12:41.728 (see ATHM5000M---DIAMOND---FNL-000100---127501)
Interesting to see another Norwegian beat Henrik (and beat Henrik's PR).

the photo is clear - kejelcha's right shoulder has it
I thought they measured by chest not shoulders.
Torso actually. But shoulder is not actually part of the torso.

Looks like the 100 m final finish....
What a 5000 race, holy sht. Hope we get to see something like that at worlds.

Live Results on Diamond League's website had Chelimo tying with Kejelcha instead of Kiplimo immediately after the race. It was too good to be true for an American to run that fast
Darn it, I was just looking at the results on the Computer was so happy with that, then they switched it to 13:05 Oh Well
4:54.2 is a wild last 2K. Cheptegei and Kiplimo have to think that will be the blueprint to beating Jakob in Budapest. Will be a slower first 3k surely of course.

They measure anywhere on the torso.

You're an idiot...the top 4 in that race all ran season bests. She went a second slower.

Hard to imagine anyone else closing in 60/60/60/58/55 in such a fast race
