You mean tapering? You never heard of tapering?

You don’t taper over a full season, only over a week or two.

Because they are juicing. That's what pro's do.
Then why do we care? If all the pros are juicing it is tough to complain when one juicer beats another. Seriously compare Kastors photos in college and as a pro and she has the same type of weight loss. Holds true for pretty much all. We arent talking a ton of weight but going from 20% bf to 15% by dropping 5lbs is really noticeable.
You ask why should we care. I don't. I expect doping to be the norm now. Those who care are those who come up with most contrived arguments that yet another likely doped athlete will be clean.
Keira said on the live chat just now that the doping suspicions hurt but she kinda understands it because ya'll don't really know her. She says that she one one of the first elite runners to put everything out there as far as sharing all of her training. Says that she's been tested four times in the last 6 weeks.
My other observation from this chat is that currently only 161 people were watching. This sport needs help.

The lack of awareness of some runners in this sport is astounding. Either they are really unaware of the rest of the sport and are stupid, or they themselves are doping too. Keira had to know that people are going to be suspicious about this AR and her association with certain coaches and Nike.
Correct response: “I’m aware that people will question any American record these days, particularly from someone my age. I can’t control what people think and can only continue to work to the best of my ability to prove that I do it the right way.”

Doping makes people cynical. It's so common now the public doesn't care about another "record".
And despite her claims, we also know that testing rarely catches anyone. "Only the dumb and the careless get caught" - WADA.
I didn't watch because I've seen this all before and I'm not buying it. Eddy, Regina, Kevin Castille, etc.

I agree. Surprise nobody torched the woman that won all 4 Disney races last week.
I'm cynical about pro runners but I think her Dopey was clean.

Um, excuse me, but her coach worked under Salazar. That's a HUGE red flag. Salazar had ALL of his athletes doing some from of doping or TUES. 2nd, nobody improves with such jumps that fast and not when you get to running 2:22. It has nothing to do with competing year round..masking simply is employed. What enchanted castle do you live in?
I think she's clean but after the Shelby incident I can see why people would question pros on this.
2:28 Chicago-October.
2:19 Houston January.

Beck is a great writer, but is too long-winded. I think he's fast too (sub-33 10k I think?) but a bit pompous. But at least he calls out some in the running media if they do something stupid.
If I recall...Eddy ran Boston on Monday then Carlsbad on Sunday.
Wow, a 3:24 and a 3:49 in there?

Dude, she's a realtor. Have you ever met a dishonest realtor?
This is actually an honest, cool look at her life. She has a great support system of husband, kids, mom and dad to help her.
I'm not envious of her; I think she's actually trying to stay humble as she gets famous. Gotta give her props for that.

Also, this. I admire her for doing it as well as she can w/o a sponsor.
“I felt like I was sticking it to the man a little, working without a professional sponsor,” she says. “I’ve showed you can do it your way; there’s not just one path up the mountain. I think everyone has something in their life where maybe they didn’t go all in — a woulda, coulda, shoulda thing. I think people are excited to see that I’ve cleared every single hurdle so I can pursue this passion. I hope it inspires them to do whatever that thing is for themselves.”
Dude, she’s sponsored by Nike.

The quote was before she got the Nike deal.
Don’t know what to make of her late transformation but for the record- according to the USADA database she was only tested once in 2021. Tests right now are meaningless, the random tests between Chicago and Houston would help her story but they’re aren’t any. If she were from any other country we’d be yelling bullsh%;

I'm familiar with your performance theories, but none of this seems to fit the women's marathon performances.
I didn't mention any theories, just stated some relevant, well established facts, which include women's marathon performances.

Yes, and also only once in 2020 (and naturally 0 times in 2019), and those numbers include all USADA tests, in- and out-of-competition.
