Hate to be the one to break it to you, but Covid might be a big thing for the rest of your time here on planet Earth. Just being frustrated with it isn't going to make it go away. We don't have some collective "right" to "live normally". It's unfortunate, but that's the way it is.
One thing the Covid pandemic has done is clarify how incapable the human race is of working towards a common goal. It's fascinating, in a depressing way. Imagine if we found out that a giant asteroid was forecast with 99.999% certainty to hit Earth 6 months from now, and the only way to save humanity was for all the nations' top scientists and engineers to work together on a solution, and for the public of each nation to back them. It would turn into a total farce! You'd have so many competing factions, most of them trying to avoid doing anything whatsoever. Reactions will range from "It's God's/Allah's/Shinto's Will", to "how can scientists really know that this probably-flat asteroid is going to collide with out flat disc planet in the future?", to "it's just a ploy for Big Tech to take our money", to "I'm going to do some research on the internet", to "the only thing to stop a bad asteroid is a good guy with a gun", etc.
Huh, it's almost as though the earth is an extremely large place with lots of different interests . . . bringing up this hypothetical to complain about how not everyone wants to just lie down to a technocratic, non-national, non-independent "bureau" which administers every facet of life is not a compelling stance. The idea that there is a such a thing as "the human race" is of scientific/biological interest, but only the most barren and sterile of its members want to live in a world run by engineers, without customs, history or local meaning.
So what is your point? That it's just fantastic that the great masses of humanity are unable to work towards a common goal, and obviously preferable to some sense of global purpose (I know: "global"..."globalists"..New World Order...Reptilians!!)? That it's better to be obliterated by an asteroid than to, say, feel like your Flat Earth beliefs are being mocked by those mean, power-crazed science people? Okay...
And who said anything about wanting people to "lie down to a technocratic, non-national, non-independent "bureau" which administers every facet of life"? They don't have to go THAT far (your techno-Zionist takeover fantasy can take place at a later date, I guess). Just getting their shots, wearing masks when necessary, etc, would be sufficient, rather than pretending that screaming hysterically at the assistant manager of the local fast food restaurant for asking them to wear a mask is a heroic act, as well as an important step in resisting the impending leftist tyrannical One World Government.
So, I'm sorry that the Covid situation is complicated, with no simple, quick solution, and that adjustments have had to be made. Just hang in there, guys. I mean, you might as well, because for all your talk about how we need to do this, we need to do that, problem solved! etc, the harsh reality is, you're just going to do what you're told anyway. You might complain mightily about it, but for all your bluster and all your posturing as an outlaw American rebel, you'll still wear a mask to the ballgame if that's what the sign says to do.
