I am not 100% sold on Wartburg either, but I do think MIT and John Carroll are legit threats. After watching MIT v Williams twice this year, I can say that if MIT is on, they can certainly win. They do not have any super fast runners (top 5) but they have 6 or 7 who can all be in the top 15-25. The problem is wether they all do it on the same day. They really are all over the place with who is "on" for any given day. If they are all on, then watch out as MIT will win. I also haven't seen enough of PP's top line up going all out to know if they are legit. They have a similar style as MIT in that they don't go for the super fast runners, but they have arguably the top 7 in the country. Pack running wins championships, but it can also loose them if other teams have a great day. I'm not ready to write off Williams 4 and 5 either. Lets assume their top 3 perform as expected, they might only need top 60-70 out of their 4th and 5th. Based on how those 2 ran at the Conn College invite, that is totally doable. And John Carroll has been improving every race, i can see them come out of nowhere if they peak at the right time. Lets not forget that no one bought PP would beat North Central or Williams in 2019. It should be a fun race!
