I say no. The Ingebrigstens are milers physiologically: their body morphology and times indicate this. Sure, as we all know and have seen, strength-based milers can hop in a fast 5k race and be dragged to 13-flat.
No, that's complete non-sense.
The runners who best resemble Jakob are Mottram and Solinsky (both were a bit taller, but they were just as robust as Jakob if not more). Both of them were 5k/10k specialists.
Jakob does not look like El Guerrouj, or Seb Coe, etc at all. He also doesn't have anything close to the 400m speed of these guys, or 100m speed, or 800m ability, etc. If Jakob says 5k is his best distance right now and HM in the long-term, I fully agree with him.
What matters more than body size/looks is 400m speed and lactate tolerance in the 1500.
What matter most in a 5k is the ability to kick after running 4600m.
And compared to el Guerrouj, Ingebrigtsen looks much weaker than the moroccon at that and also much weaker than someone like Lagat.
Talking about "world record potential" for a guy who has not even break 13:00 yet is a joke. Wake me up when he run sub 12:50 and even then he would be very far off.

I think that your opinion is based on very poor research.
In DL London 2019 Jakob in his very first fast 5000m race (with pacemakers) ran the last 400m in 53 and the last 200m in 26. I think this is close to Bekele´s best performances when Bekele was dominant in the 5000m.
At OL 2004 in the 5000m final - where El-Guerrouj outsprinted Bekele and Kipchoge - last lap was run just under 53 so Jakob´s DL London performance at 18 was just a bit slower. But the 2004 final was won 13:14.40 so which overall performance was the better?
In london 2019 Jakob outsprinted the current toprunners Kimeli, Mcsweyn, Butchart, Rhonex Kipruto and Crippa with 3.46, 3.61, 4.20, 5.38 and 5.82 seconds respectively over the last 600m which went in 1:23.
Comparison to El-Guerrouj and Bernhard Lagat:
Jakob is MUCH faster at age 17 and 18 than the two were both on the 1500m and the 5000m!
E-G ran the 1500m in 3:33.61 at 19; Jakob 3:30.18 at 18. E-G 5000m 13:46.79 at 17; Jakob at the same age 13:17.
Lagat ran the 1500m in 3:37.7 at 21; Jakob ran 3:30.18 at 18. Lagat 5000m in 13:50.33 at 22.
Jakob 13:02.03 at 18!
Kenenisa Bekele ran 13:20.57 at 17 and 13:13.33 at 18.
Haile Gebrselassie ran 13:36.06 at 19 and 13:03.17 at 20.
On these pages several people have stated that Jakob could have run 12:55 or even faster in DL London if the pace had been more even. I agree with this.
I might have to wake you up later this season if there will be a fast well paced 5000m.
Outherwise we must judge out from a fast 3000m (DL´s new long distance).
