Same, I don't think anyone that says these sorts of things understands what leftism means in politics.... I'm not sure what's "leftist" about neoliberal crony capitalism
It's FAR more unsophisticated than that. Currently, anyone who supports Trump and the party he owns simply label anyone not in that club with the most silly pseudo-political pejoratives they can. No real understanding, no honesty, nothing close to nuance, etc. Pathetic country.
One of the reasons that Trump is so popular is that so many Americans like the posters on this thread think anyone who drives a pickup truck, likes to shoot, listens to country music and goes to church on Wednesdays and Sundays is unintelligent. Trump called out to those subjects of the liberals derision. Under his inspiration they massed together to try to strike back at those who derided them. When Jason Aldean wrote "Flyover States", he was speaking to these people and to the Democrat party. They have turned off MSM outlets and entered into an echo chamber (which is certainly not good for our democracy). But whether you want to call them stupid or insult them in myriad other ways, they have a vote that counts the same as yours. Treat them with respect or bear the consequences at the ballot box.
- Trump (the slimy NYC rich guy) has zero respect for any of the people listed in your first sentence. If you had half a clue, you would have known this when he was still a mile away.
- He is, however, very good at getting TOO MANY folks who could be described that way to give him money and precious votes.
- If a bad person (and Trump is objectively a very bad person and public servant) comes along and tells you, "Those nasty elites don't like you, but I do (....so let me do and say anything that I want)," SMART people will see through it. FAR too many "fly over" people didn't. And really pathetic that they couldn't, and still can't, see it. Moreover, it at least partially validates the view that a heck of a lot of them are dumb and unsophisticated. Lay in the bed you made, Trumpers.
Which Trump policy is bad for the stupid people in your self declared intelligent opinion?
I live in a suburb of a major US city that voted decisively for Trump. Everyone around here I know agrees that Trump can be toxic but that the policy is what actually matters.
You've called everyone who voted differently than you stupid multiple times now. Which policies do you think are bad for these stupid people?

LOL! Says the kid who's been calling anyone who doesn't agree with him stupid Trumpers all day...
Liberals are literally incapable of self awareness. LOL!

Correct. We live in a democracy. When you vote for a man who tries to steal an election, you're a f***** id*** (civics-wise, politically, patriotically). Many, perhaps most, of those people are otherwise decent people. I can't explain it. It's horrendous. But yes, f***** id***s in that respect, who might help destroy our country.
It goes far, far beyond simply "toxic," and you and they know this. But you and they pretend otherwise.
Furthermore, you know that the list of POTUS-disqualifying actions and words from him is a mile long. But we MIGHT quibble over a few of those.
So, let's just stick with CLEARLY and EXPLICITLY trying to steal a presidential election. If you vote for a person who did (and is STILL trying to do) that, you should be ashamed of yourself. REALLY freakin' simple.
If you have an actual retort to why this country should tolerate that man, try it. But you don't, so just STFU.

If you're a Trumper, the actual adults on this thread will disagree with most everything that you say. And if you're a Trumper, you are by definition stupid. So, you'll also be called stupid a lot. Simple. No apologies.
So if you want to talk about stupid Trumpers, there is a cadre of them who invested in Trump's "Truth Social". Trump thinks his followers are idiots. He loves taking their money.

He didn't try to "steal an election"...
Nothing he did was unconstitutional. He tried to contest the electoral college certification within the bounds of the constitution and he failed. He then left office.
Meanwhile, the Democrats actively killed stories that polls show would have changed the outcome of the election. Mark Zuckerberg spent $400 MILLION of his own money to ballot harvest in battleground states. The only "stealing" going on was from the left.
A MAJORITY of Americans believe fraud impacted the 2020 election.
Joe Biden and Hillary Clinton both called Trump an illegitimate president because of the Russia collusion hoax which was bought and paid for by Hillary and the DNC. To this DAY morons on the left think Trump is a Russian agent.
November is going to be GLORIOUS. The truth will come out and you idiots will have hamstrung the Democratic party for years to come.

Complete and utter lack of self awareness.
Don't respond to nonequals. He is a punk who somehow commandered his mom's computer. Ignore him.
I have no idea and have no desire to go look for your posts.
Based on how much you seem to like Tesla if I had to guess I'd say you think private sector innovation is the answer to climate change and not government.
Tesla has helped a lot, but there is no way the free market on its own will fix climate change. The climate crisis will not be solved without heavy government intervention.

You left out the critical part of what I said, and I'm pretty sure you did it on purpose. Note that I never said they could not release an app.
You can not build a twitter clone overnight. You can't even do it in a year, no matter how much you are willing to spend. It has to scale to millions of users. It has to match Twitter's functionality. And most importantly, it has to reach a critical mass of users. Otherwise, you can't make money.
They have not proven they can scale to millions of users. They have not matched Twitter's functionality. And most importantly, they have not reached a critical mass of users.
Therefore, it's not a twitter clone and it never will be.

It was a con from the beginning.
I only cut it out for brevity, you were wrong about all that stuff too. The news article you linked says they already have 500k daily active users and 1.2 million app downloads.

They have definitely not matched twitter's functionality. Not even close.

If you can scale to 1.2 million you can easily scale to "millions."
How many users would constitute a "critical mass"?

First off 1.2 million downloads is not 1.2 million users. And I'm talking about active daily users, which they say is only around 500K where Twitter has 217 million. They need to be able to handle several million to match twitter. But that's the easiest of the three.
They are no where near matching Twitter's functionality, which they would need to attract the millions of active daily users.
Critical mass would be enough continuous usage that they can generate significant ad revenue from those millions of eyeballs. That's the hardest part for any social network. It has to get really, really popular to generate enough revenue to justify the stock price.
Trump has only posted once. He's not even trying to make it popular.
